Days went fast, weekends went faster. But it was finally the Saturday of homecoming. Jaeden had mixed feelings, he was nervous, anxious, eager, and couldn't hold in his excitement. He grinned in the mirror staring at his black and white tux plastered on his body. He hears three loud knocks on the front door and nervous butterflies filled his stomach. He practically ran down the stairs and to the door. He saw his mother speaking to a very colorful and beautiful Sophia. Jaeden was pretty sure his mouth was wide open when he saw Sophia. She laughed at his reaction and hugged him.
"Y-You look amazing, Sophia." Jaeden stutters
"Why thank you, you look great also." Sophia says
"Pictures!" Jaeden mom says bringing out her cellphone and snapping away.
"Mom! It's only homecoming, not prom." Jaeden laughs
"I just can't believe that my baby is going to homecoming! With a girl!" His mother says excitedly.
Sophia laughs and looks at Jaeden. "Guess what, New Kid?"
Jaeden laughs under his breath. "What?"
"SELFIE!" Sophia smiles and pulls out her phone snapping a quick photo. It was actually a really good picture.
"Forward that to me." Jaeden says, Sophia nods.
"Okay kiddos, time to leave!" Jaeden's mom exclaims and they all exit the Lieberher home. Sophia and Jaeden climb into the backseat of Jaeden's mothers Toyota. Sophia enlaced her fingers with Jaeden and looked at him.
"Are you as nervous as I am?" She asks squeezing his hand.
"Yeah. Maybe even more." Jaeden nods.
Sophia smiles to herself at Jaeden's warm hand in hers.
