Jaeden sat alone in his small bedroom doodling in his notebook. He kept checking his phone for messages from his friends from his old school but never received any. He then heard his bedroom window open slowly. He stares at the moving curtains with fear, until he noticed a scrawny red-head enter his room. He sighs in relief as Sophia closed the window behind her.
"Sup New Kid." She grins and sits in his rolling desk chair.
"Why are you in my house? How do you even know where I live?"
"I was bored, and I have my ways of getting information." Sophia says and begins looking through his desk drawers. She then looks up at Jaeden and grins.
"What?" He asks
"Whatcha drawing?" Sophia asks laughing a bit.
"Oh, it's nothing important, just some random things." Jaeden says
"Lemme see." Sophia grabs the notebook from Jaeden's grasp and flips through the many pages of drawings. "You're good at this."
"Thanks, I've been drawing since I was little." Jaeden says
"Can you draw me?" Sophia grins
"I mean, I could."
"Then get to work, art boy." Sophia throws his notebook back to him and he hesitantly picks up a pencil and begins drawing. He would acasionally look up at the fire haired girl then continue doodling. Once he finished he set his pencil down and handed the notebook to Sophia.
"Damn, this is amazing." Sophia grins "Can I keep this?"
"Sure." Jaeden says and Sophia carefully rips the page out of the notebook.
"This is talent new kid." Sophia grins
"Thanks, and my name is Jaeden by the way." Jaeden laughs
"I'm gonna stick with new kid for now." Sophia says observing the drawing. "I like you new kid, you're pretty chill and layed back."
"Thanks...?" Jaeden says
"No problem, I should get going before my parents call the cops, Bye...new kid." She teases and climbs out the small window.
Jaeden laughed to himself and continued to doodle, he was drawing a small paper boat sailing in a flooded lake. He thought about his new school and sorta new friends. He especially that of what Sophia said. "I like you new kid." Did she mean like as in for friends or more than that? Jaeden couldn't find an answer to that question.
