Broaden Your Minds

Tess' P.O.V.
"Broaden your minds."
Professor Trelewany was very weird and strange. Of course, you know that. It's just, she seems weirder than usual. "You must look into the beyond."
She was teaching us how to use a crystal ball. Seems very stupid to me. To Hermione most. But it's classes. "The art of crystal gazing is in the clearing of the inner eye."
Ron was unusually good at Divination. Not like most of his classes.
Even though he was good at Divination, he slept like a baby. His snores filled the classroom along with the other snores of many others. "Only then can you see. Try again."
She seemed unaware of the students that felt like taking a snoose. "Now what do we have here?"
Harry and Ron instantly sat up straight and looked at Trelewany with sheepish smiles. I rolled my eyes from the table next to theirs. "Do you mind me trying?" Hermione asked with a smile.
Huh. Strange.
She doesn't like Divination at all. Says it's rubbish.
Trelewany made a sound of agreement. Hermione stood up, walked to their table, and looked at the crystal ball. "The Grim, possibly." She said with quite a bit of flatness.
Professor Trelewany grimaced. She turned to Hermione with a grim expression. "My dear, from the first moment you stepped foot in my class I sensed that you did not possess the proper spirit for the noble art of Divination." She took her hand and began to inspect it. "No, you see, there." She pointed to a line in Hermione's hand.
"You may be young in years, but your heart, beats me, is as shriveled as an maid's. Your soul as dry as the pages of the books to which you so desperately cleave." She pet her hand.
Hermione stood up. She smacked the crystal ball of the table and walked away angrily.
"What's her problem?" Sounds of murmurs were heard from all over the room. "Have I said something?" Trelewany asked. She was as oblivious as an inaminate object.
"She's mental." Ron said dumbfoundedly.

Harry's P.O.V.
"She's gone mental, Hermione has." Ron remarked. "I mean, not that she wasn't always mental."
"Ron, she's our friend. Can't you spend a day without threatening her?" Tess asked her brother. "I'm not threating her!" Ron replied. The two siblings fought in a fight of words. "Hey, look."
I looked at the crystal ball Hermione smacked off the table. "We better return it to Trelewany."
"I'm not going back!" The fight had certainly gotten Ron worked up. "I'm going to find Hermione. Make sure she's not runing our dorm as we speak." Tess said.
"Bye." She kissed my cheek and walked down the stairs in a jog.
"Suit yourself." I said. I walked back up the stairs to Trelewany. "See you."
I walked back into the classroom. Looking around, I saw that Professor Trelewany was not there. I left the crystal room on Trelewany's table seeing as she was not there.
Something in the atmosphere changed. A small but familiar face appeared inside the ball. "Harry Potter." It whispered.
A hand grasped my shoulder. I instantly turned around.
Professor Trelewany was there. She took a deep inhale. "Professor Trelewany!"
"He will return tonight." Her voice sounded like it was sore. Like she needed water or something. Does she need water?
"Sorry?"
"Tonight, he who betrayed his friends, whose heart rots with murder, shall break free." Sirius Black. She took another sharp inhale. "Innocent blood shall be spilt and servant and master shall be reunited once more."
Her grasp on my shoulder got harder and harder as she spoke. She let her grasp on it go and she coughed as if trying to get a hairball out of her mouth like a cat.
She then seemed to realise that I was there.
"I'm so sorry, dear boy. Did you say something?"
"No." I said. "Nothing."
I slowly walked away. Only when I was out of sight I ran out and went to meet my friends and tell them what I had heard.
