Expecto Patronum, for Seventh years

Tess' P.O.V.

"Are you sure, Tess?" Professor Lupin asked. "It's for seventh years after all." Professor Black added. "Yes, Professors. I want to protect Harry. We've figured out that Black is his Godfather last week, I don't want him to worry anymore." I replied.

They seemed to wince at the surname, 'Black'.

The Professors let out a sigh and then proceeded to teach me. "I almost forgot!" Professor Black loudly exclaimed. "I've got papers to grade, goodbye!" She said all in a rush. She hurried to kiss Professor Lupin on the cheek and run out the classroom. Professor Lupin shook his head. "That woman." He muttered.

"Alright." Professor Lupin said. "The spell I'm teaching you is the Patronus Charm. Your father has probably told you about it, am I right?"

Now that I think about it, yes.

He told me it was a seventh year's spell, that it had two purposes. It could protect the caster from Dementors and Leithfolds as well as send a message. He told me about it a long time ago. "Yes." I replied.

"I suppose you know how to cast it as well."

I shook my head no. "No?" The Professor asked. "My dad said that it was too hard for me to learn at a young age." I replied.

"Explanatory enough. You must think of your happiest memory. A very Happy memory a very Powerful memory. Close your eyes and think." The Professor said.

I did as I was told and closed my eyes. I started thinking.

First day I met the guys and Hermione? Maybe. The day I got my wand? The day I was sorted? The day my Hogwarts letter came with Errol along with Ron's. "Have you got one yet?"

"No."

"No? How many happy memories have you got in there?" The Professor asked in a joking matter.

I laughed. "I might have made one more."

"Yeah, maybe." I replied.

It was his turn to laugh. I settled on the day I met Harry, Ron, and Hermione. "Got one." I said, opening my eyes. "Close 'em again." The Professor said.

I closed them. "Allow the memory to fill you up with joy."

So I went through it. Again and again.

//Flashback\\

"I'm Harry. Harry Potter." He said.I remembered that name, only I couldn't remember where I heard it from, though I think Ron knew who he was. "So it's true! I mean, do you really have the..?" He asked pointing to his forehead.

"The what?"He asked, then I interrupted them and said, "The scar." I said. Harry came to realization and lifted his bangs up revealing a lighting shaped scar.

"Wicked!"Ron exclaimed.

"I'm Hermione Granger. And you are?"She asked looking over to Ron and I.

"I'm Tess Weasley, nice to meet you, Hermione Granger."I said. "And this guy?" She asked, looking at Ron. "Ron Weasley, we're twins." Ron replied "Unidentical Twins" I said "Pleasure" She said looking at us funny.  What is it?

"Lose yourself in the memory. Then exclaim, Expecto --"

"Expecto Patronum, I know." I said, interrupting him. He smiled. "Warning, here. Inside this chest I'm about to open is a boggart. Not a dementor. So don't be too scared." Professor Lupin said, gesturing towards the big wooden chest in front of us.

"Wand at the ready."

I took out my wand and pointed it at the chest. "On the count of three." The Professor said. "One."

"Two"

"Three!"

He opened the chest and out came the boggart. I pictured a Dementor. You know, because my 'Greatest fear' isn't normally a Dementor.

I took a deep sigh and looked at the boggart. It had turned into a Dementor. "Expecto Patronum!" I shouted.

Black is what I saw. (The color, k?)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"You're what?"

"I'm teaching him about the spell. You shouldn't worry about him, he can handle himself."

"I have the right to worry, I'm Harry's Godmother!"

A sigh was heard. I then opened my eyes. "You're teaching Harry the Patronus Spell?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows. "You weren't suppose to hear that." Professor Black declared.

"Here." Professor Lupin took out a bar of chocolate. "Eat. It'll make you feel better."

I took the chocolate bar and ate a square of it. "Yes, he's teaching Harry." Professor Black said, answering my question.

"What memory did you pick?" Professor Lupin asked. "The day I met Harry, Ron, and Hermione." I replied. "Hmm." The Professor hummed. "I'm surprised that didn't work."

"Think of a better, happier, more powerful memory!"

"Okay, umm." The night Harry had told me that Dumbledore told him that I could see the future through the Mirror of Erised.

That night I knew Harry and I would kiss. The only thing I didn't know was if it advanced to more or if it decreased to just friends. I still felt happy though.

"Got one." I said.

"Like last time." Professor Lupin said. "One."

"Two."

"Three."

Out came the dementor. "Expecto Patronum!"

I could see a doe like creature come out of the wand and scare the dementore before it flew back into the chest. I let out a triumphant squeal.

"Thanks Prof!" I exclaimed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

"Come back next week!"

"One thing, Prof." I said. "If you're teaching Harry. Take him seriously. He doesn't like to joke around when he says that it's time to be serious."
