What Now

"What do we do now?" Steve asked. "I'm going home." I said. He looked at me. "Do y'all have somewhere to stay." I asked. He thought for a moment then suddenly his face lit up. "Actually yes we do." He said then he picked up his phone and walked out of the room.

Well I guess I might as well call my parents and take these stupid contacts out! "Hey mom." I said into the phone. "Hi Raven how's it going?" She asked. "Good." I replied. She chuckled.

"Well I'm coming back home I should be there by tonight." I told her. "Ok we should be here everything has been upside down lately and we don't know why." She said I nodded even though I knew she couldn't see it.

Then I saw Steve enter the room. "Ok I gotta go mom see ya tonight." I said. "Alright goodbye." She replied then she ended the call. "Can I give you my number just in case you need help?" I asked he nodded. I gave him my number.

"Well I have to go my parents are going to be worried." I said before turning to leave. "And sorry about Foxtrot." I said before running and teleporting away.

Home
Raven's POV-
"What." Right now mom was shocked at what happened. "Well do Steve and Elli know that your a Barton?" She asked calming down. I shook my head. "No they don't even know my first name." I told her reassuringly she sighed in relief and hugged me. "I'm glad your safe." She whispered into my hair.

I smiled then dad came downstairs. "Hey Raven how are ya?" Dad asked. I hugged him. "Good what about you?" I asked. "Great," He started. "You weren't shot, stabbed, poisoned, or anything like that right?" He said pulling away and twirling me around. "Yeah dad I'm fine." I say with a smile.

He stops twirling me and looks into my eyes. His eyes searching my soul for any trace of a lie. "Ok just checking." He says breaking our staring contest.

I walk into the kitchen and grabbed an apple. But before I could put it in my mouth mom put it back in the bowl.

I groaned. "Mom what was that for?" I asked waving my hands around. I hear dad trying to stifle a laugh but is failing miserable.

"I'm cooking dinner right now." She said in a calm but slightly amused tone. I pouted. "I'll help!" I exclaimed running to the sink to wash my hands. I hear mom chuckle then come next to me.

We spent the rest of the evening cooking, eating, and watching action movies.

Meanwhile
Steve's POV-
I could have sworn that girl said her last name was Barton but that doesn't matter right now.

When we walked up to the door we stood there for a second. Then Elli knocked and a few seconds later Sam opened the door. His smile faded when he saw the serious looks on our faces.

"We're going to take you up on that offer." I said he smirked and let us in.
