The Assignment

Set A Little Before Winter Soldier Present Day
Raven's POV-
"Alright agents I have an assignment for you!" Yelled Agent Coulson he gives out the orders for team Renegade. Everyone runs to the Briefing Room well I geo leaped (If you've ever watched 'Lab Rats' you'll know what I mean) ahead of everyone.

When everyone was in the room Coulson spoke. "Now that everyone is here I'll give out the assignments. Spectra, Wolf, and Phantom. You all are going to be on this assignment." Everyone who didn't get called left. Spectra aka Rain, Wolf aka Alex, and Phantom aka yours truly stayed.

"Now let's get come up and get your files." Coulson said with a smile. I got mine and read it.

Cover: Danielle (Dani) Aim
Age:14
School: Homeschool
Background: Adopted two foster sisters and a single foster dad. Foster mom died from gunshot wounds. And dad is paralyzed by gunshot wounds.

Personally: Anti-Social and Sarcastic. Into music.
(That won't be hard to fake.)
Appearance:
Black, purple, and silver hair. Brown eyes.

"Is everyone caught up? Yes? Ok let's go." Coulson says walking to another room. He was never the patient type. He led us to a room with three racks of clothes with our cover names on them.

I went with this.

Then I went to hair and makeup I came out like this.

For accessory I had black fingerless biker gloves and a necklace with a heart wearing headphones. I put my brown contacts in and they match the color of my skin. They also gave me a tattoo a on my neck that said 'Always and Forever'.

"Nice." Said Alex while nudging me in the arm. You too I said. She was wearing a blue crop top with dark blue skinny jeans and black converse. Her hair was its usual blond color with a streak of blue to match her eyes when her mood is normal. And she had the same tattoo as me on her neck.

Rain came up to us. Her tanned skin was littered with temporary tattoos. But the one that stood out was the one that said 'Always and forever' just like me and Alex's.

Let me fill you in on our enhancements. Wolf's powers include enhanced senses and ability to turn into a wolf.

Spectra's powers include telepathy, her eye color changes to whatever her mood is, turn invisible, density shift, and to read people's minds.

I have the ability to turn invisible, density shift, I also have this weird tattoo or birthmark on my back in the shape of wings. I don't know what it's for but I intend to find out.

Then Phil came in. "Alright let's go." He said. Once we got into the main room in the hellicarrier Coulson explained to us what our mission was.

It was to protect Captain America and his wife Agent Elli Fury well Rogers now. But you get the point right.

Agent Rogers is in grave danger since lots of people know her origins. And with everything that's going on at SHIELD right now Fury asked us to help protect her.

"You leave tonight." He said. I nodded. When he dismissed us I saw my dad walking towards me.

I normally don't play security guard but these were direct orders from Directer Fury so I couldn't argue.

"I heard you got a new mission today." He said in an excited yet worried tone. "Yeah. But it's ok dad I'll be ok." I said. He was about to protest when mom came up. "Oh lighten up Clint she'll do good she always does." She said shooting me a smile. "Yeah but missions are dangerous I don't want her getting hurt." He said gesturing to me.

Mom just rolls her eyes and sighs. Then she turns to me and kisses me on my forehead. She starts to talk but I cut her off. "Stay safe, stay sharp, don't let your walls down, and most importantly of all NEVER let your guard down." I say with a smile. "Actually I was going to say I love you but that too." She says. I chuckle "я люблю тебя, мама." (I love you mom.) I say. She chuckles. "я тоже тебя люблю." (I love you too.) She replies.

I turn back to dad. "I love you dad." I said as I hugged him. "I love you too he said as he kissed my head. "Agent Barton." Coulson says. "Yes?" Dad and I say in unison. We chuckle. "Raven." He says this time. "Yeah?" I asked. "Director Fury request that you and team to leave early to get there on time." He says. I nod and say one last goodbye and follow Phil.

After Fury went over what we where to do and our roles. He would glance at me ever so often and I would shift uncomfortably from one foot to another.

Fury's POV-
All I can think about is Raven my little girl. She's grown up so much. I just wish I was apart of it. As I watch her about to get on the plane. I feel sad watching her go on this mission but you gotta do what you gotta do right?

I see her turn around one more time. Our eyes meet but she quickly looks away with a confused expression on her face. She shrugs it off and walks into the jet.

When they are out of sight I turn around and walk away thinking about what life would have been like if I hadn't given her to the Barton's.

Incase there is a little confusion yes Coulson is still alive I couldn't bring myself to kill him.
