"Hey have you got a spare pen?" said the gorgeously handsome boy next to her.
She nodded and handed her spare pen. She was mesmerised by him yet he never noticed her. Unless she had a spare pen.
He was one of the popular boys. She wasn't a nerd. Nor a popular girl. She thought of herself as just average. After all, high school was merely about just labels. And she simply didn't care about labels.
He sat next to her in her classes, partly because he was placed there, and partly because she was a reliable spare pen girl.
She was Spare Pen Girl.
She looked over at him. She took in all his features and sighed.
He was perfection.
He caught her looking at him. He smirked. Every single girl in their year was always doing that. They'd do anything for him.
But he wasn't a player. He was sweet and everything a girl could ask for.
He took in her features and smiled. She was really beautiful. Natural beauty. She had mascara on and some lip gloss.
He wondered why he hadn't noticed her before.
Of course, she was just Spare Pen Girl before.
And all the other girls were obvious when it came to flirting and stuff.
From that day, he would admire her from afar and think up a situation where he would approach her and talk to her.
She noticed that he seemed to be more nice and ask her how her day was.
Soon, they got to know each other better. Library sessions, study dates, and just whenever they could.
'He was perfect' she thought.
'She was perfect' he thought.
She became more than just Spare Pen Girl to him.
