Another ring from my doorbell woke me up. I sat up from my bed and walked towards the door to check on it. A brown package, with a huge red heart imprinted on it, welcomed me as I opened my front door.
An anonymous gift again? I asked myself. I must say, that red heart on it looks cheesy.
As I took the package inside, a thought slipped through my mind. I thought of my ex-lover was the one who's been giving me random gifts. I sighed thinking that he just made things worst.
I opened the package to see what's inside. It was a box of chocolates and it has a card that says I'll see you soon princess.
My nose wrinkled as I read the message. I didn't feel any excitement at all. I'm not just into his surprises anymore.
When we were still in a relationship, he would always surprise me with anything. From flowers and chocolates to fancy dinner dates, he always try to please me with these.
But all I wanted from him were not those gifts. I wanted him to just be my boyfriend and that's all.
No, it's not just a want, but a need. I needed him to be the man to fill me up. I needed him to be the man to complete me.
