I was at the coffee shop when my phone suddenly rang. I got an incoming call from someone of familiarity.
He called. My ex-lover called and he wanted to hang out tomorrow.
I cringed when I heard his voice. I had a weird feeling inside me and I just can't seem to explain it.
I hesitated again to whether I should say yes or turn down his offer.
I thought to myself that it wouldn't hurt to hang out with him. But if I do say yes and go out with him, maybe he'll think that I still have feelings for him.
If I turn it down, he'll still think I have feelings, too. It felt like my head was about to crack open. I shook my head and blinked.
After a minute or two, I was still on the phone with him. He waited for my answer.
Finally, I agreed to spare my time with him tomorrow. I don't know why, but I just mouthed out an of course, why not?
A chuckle resonated through the phone. It was from him. I rolled my eyes.
He then told me that he'll pick me up at three in the afternoon. I replied an okay and disconnected the call.
I slammed my phone on the table making my barista friend notice my frustration.
