I saw you
As a beautiful life
The one I adored for all eternity.
I saw you
As a striking young man
With a troubled heart
But perfect potential.
I saw you
With fireflies glowing around your head
With that laugh and toothy grin
And yes
I fell for what I saw.But now?
Now all I see
Is a skeletal memory
Of what you used to be.
But now?
Now all I see
Is a nightmare
Hiding in the face
In the arms, the legs
The body
