"Hey wait up, aren't you the girl from the party?" His deep voice calls out behind me and I freeze instantly.

I didn't even look at him yet but I know exactly who it is. A few seconds pass by before I turn around to look at him and when I do he gives me this heart melting smile.

"I'm sorry, are you okay?" He asks with genuine concern.

'What?' I ask confused

"Well you just hit the floor because of me" he chuckles a little and steps closer to me "Here, let me have a look"

His hand reaches for mine that's on my nose still and when he touches me there's this instant connection I feel, as I look into his eyes I can't help but notice he's already looking into mine.

Okay stop this nonsense Alexis, you're just imagining things.

I quickly pull my hand out of his and take a step back 'I'm fine.'

"You sure? I mean I can look at it."

'Positive'

"What's your name? I wanted to ask you when we first met but I didn't get a chance to" he asks with a small smile

'I'm Alex.'

"Cool name, I'm Jayden." He smiles brightly now, showing his perfect set of teeth

Before I can say thank you he asks me another question

"Hey who was that guy who was all over you at the party?" His smile has turned into him looking curiously at me

'I don't know, just a random dude trying to kiss me.' I answer

"Really?" Jayden asks, obviously not knowing my reputation yet, at least I assume

'Thanks for helping me by the way but I could've managed on my own' I say and take a few steps back to continue my original plan which was to check my face in the bathroom mirror

"No problem." Jayden smiles

I give him a small smile in return and disappear into the girls bathroom. Once I reach the mirror I see what damage he actually did and it doesn't look as bad as it feels thank god. Just a brush of make up and it should be fine

After checking my face I make my way out of the bathroom to find Jayden still at the same spot, I thought he'd be gone by now

"Hey um sorry, I don't mean to seem like a creepy stalker but I was wondering if you could show me the way to the lunch room?" Jayden asks

'You go to school here right?' I ask confused as to why he doesn't know his way around campus

"Well I was only at the party because a few of my friends invited me and I transferred schools today, so basically this is my first day and I'm kinda clinging onto the one person I connected with in the hopes she'll help me out" he chuckles, a hint of nervousness in his laugh

'You know what, I have a better idea than campus lunch.' I smirk a little

Expecting him to make a comment involving sex I wasn't ready for what he was about to say

"Sure, I'm hoping you mean the froyo place outside of campus, I'm dying of heat." Jayden chuckles and scratches the side of his neck

That comment was so.. innocent and pure. So unlike any other guy that talks to me. Maybe he really doesn't know my reputation around here.

'That's exactly what I meant.' I smile, a genuine smile for once

Jayden and I ended up spending a few hours in yoghurtland and honestly it was refreshing meeting him. He didn't expect anything from me and we just had a cool and easygoing conversation about anything and everything. I did try to keep the topics mostly about him and not so much about me, simply because I don't like to talk about my past but it was nice having someone to try and get to know me for me, not just my body.
