The next couple weeks went by so quickly, I kept seeing Gabriel and Tyler. I did crush on both of them. I just couldn't bring myself to see either of them ever again, especially after how I left. As I walked towards math, I saw someone fall into step with me. I couldn't bring myself to look who it was because I had a strong feeling it was Gabriel. He was such a gentle man and he knew why I had wanted space. He must feel like I'm ready to talk again.
"Listen, I really don't feel like talking to-" Half way through I realised it wasn't Gabriel I was talking to. It wasn't even Tyler. It was my first boyfriend, and my old best friend Trent Hawk-Hunter. "Oh. Hey Um, sorry about that. I, ah, thought you were someone else," I looked at him. I badly wanted to say what had happened but, I barely know him anymore. Then again I barely knew Gabriel.
"Yeah, I've seen you and thingy hanging out. Always happy. What happened? What did I ever do to offend you? One day I was your best friend, who was always there for you and never left your side when you needed help." As he said those last words I felt my heart break in two, leaving my side. I left my dads side and look where that took me. "Listen I have no idea who, blondey or bad boy are, but they are bad news. I'm serious you should stay away from them." He actually made it convincing to never talk to them again. I was so close, when I had a stupid rational thought.
"Well if this is some stupid way to get me back, it's not working. I'm going to 'hang out' with them as much as I want, and no one is going to stop me." As I said the last few words, I turned and started walking to my next class. I made sure to swing my hair around so it would make more of an effect. I walked hurriedly to class, and opened the door. I must have been talking for a long time for everyone had settled down and the teacher had started to write on the blackboard. Everyone had turned and faced me, I quickly scanned the room for an empty seat. The only one left was a three seater, and there were two boys, the only seat was in the middle. I sighed once I saw the boys faces and made my way over to them. Gabriel was on my left and Tyler was on my right. I've never seen them in this class before. I can definitely say that they are in all my classes. I take a seat quickly and get my book ready. As I go to grab my textbook I find that it's missing. I put my forehead to the desk, and feel something touch my head. I pull my head to the left to see Gabriel has moved his text book into the middle of mine and his table. I gave him a smile, and mouthed 'thank you'. He nodded his head in response. He pointed to where the teacher was talking about and I nodded and continued to read with the teacher. When class had finished I went to do my normal move and get out of class as quick as I could but, I saw Gabriel taking his time, and decided to go with him to class.
"You can go? Class has been dismissed," Gabriel said to me.
"I'm waiting for you, and thanks for your text book." I gave him a quick smile. He smiled back and stood up with all his books bunched up in his arms. He chucked his head to motion me that he was ready to go. We walked to every class together for the rest of the day. I thought to myself as we sat out the front waiting for my mum that I could really get use to this.
"Where are your parents?" I asked Gabriel.
"Um, well they don't pick me up from school, I walk home or drive like today." He said quickly without hesitation "Where is your mum?" That was a hard question for me.
"I don't know, she usually comes pretty late." I said with a slight hesitation. I looked over at Gabriel, he must have sensed me looking at him because he faced me too.
"If you want I can take you home? It will be fine." He asked with a kind smile.
"Just give me a second to call my mum."
