We pull into the school car park. I unclick my seat belt and put my bag on, I take a breathe in and hold it until I open the door. As I lean out of the door and go to stand up, my mother grabs my arm.

"Scarlet?" I nod a couple times, making my hair fall into my face, which I quickly push behind my ears. "Please make some friends, go on socialise. Get in trouble anything, just have fun." She puts on a beautiful smile, but all I do is pull my arm away violently and reply.

"As long as you do the same," I quickly slam the door and walk away, and pull my hoodie over my hair. I don't turn back, because I know my mothers reaction to what I just did, will make my heart tear in two. I walk towards the gates with my head down looking at my old sneakers, that look like they have just been blown up by a bomb. As I get close to the gates, I raise my head and collide with something. No someone. I take two small steps back quickly, I don't want to look to who I just ran into, but his shoes are amazing. I straighten my posture and sprint into the gates hearing a gasp, obviously the person I just ran into was not expecting my get away. I run towards a large building to get my locker number, and code. As I get closer I start to walk. I notice that I'm breathing heavily, but what from? I quickly decide that it's because I ran and know how unfit I really got over the holidays. As I open the door, which rattles a small bell hanging from it, I look at the line. There is about three people, all who I don't know. I sigh thankfully, and cross my fingers that none of my old friends come into the line behind me. As soon as the first person in line leaves and closes the door with a rattle, another person comes in, I inhale a breath as I sense the person standing behind me. I tighten my hoodie around me, suddenly feeling really cold. There must be a draft. I let out a breath as another person gets their code and walks out of the door, with a rattle. As soon as I feel calm about the person behind me not knowing my identity, I feel a small tap on the shoulder, I make a ridiculous sound in fright, and hear laughter. A boy's laughter. I turn, with a stare that would probably make me scream if I looked at myself in the mirror, but as soon as I saw the person standing behind me. The expression dropped, and my bottom jaw almost hit the ground, but i kept it up with great difficulty. It was one of the most hottest guys I have ever seen in my entire life. He had an amazing smile, which he wore proudly, black hair. His hair looked like glossy black paint, and his eyes. Oh my god, his eyes were the most brightest blue, I felt myself breath a sigh of adoration.

"I'm so sorry for startling you, I thought you were an old friend from where I came from. Like before I moved here." It took a moment for me to answer.

" Oh no it's, um, okay. But sorry I'm not the person you knew before you came here." I forced my eyes away and started to turn around when I heard him speak again.

"My name is Tyler, I came from South," As I turned around, I watched him extend his hand to me, but before I could move I heard 'next' and quickly turned around to get my locker number and code.

"Name sweety," the lady behind the counter said very quickly, obviously in a hurry to get through the line which had grown longer and longer.

"Scarlet, Scarlet Young." I hear my name be repeated over and over.

"Scarlet, Scarlet, Scarlet." I feel heat rise to my cheeks.

"Done, thankyou for waiting darling," the lady behind the desk calls me back to reality.

"Thank you," I quickly grab my small package and hurriedly walk out of the door making sure not to make eye contact with anyone especially, Tyler.
