After Gabriel and Tyler have both left. telling me they have to get back to school, as of course they have missed three days of school. I get up, and I am greeted at the waiting room by my mum. She runs at me, with her eyes tearing up, and a smile on her face, a real smile. I can feel tears burning the backs of my eyes. But these tears were not the ones of a sad person, but I was happy. I saw my mum smile. She was actually smiling. When she got to me, it was as if she forgot to stop. She hit me with full force with her body. I felt myself start to fall, tilting backwards, towards the ground, when someone caught me. The stranger lifted me and my mum back onto flat feet, and we stood in an embrace for a few minutes, every now and again whispering in my ear 'I love you', each time I would reply, 'I love you more'. I still did not know who had lifted us back up, yet I could sense their nearness. They are obviously standing behind me. I shivered and whispered in my mom's ear.

"We should get going." She let go of me, nodding in a reply. As she started to turn away. The stranger turned me around very quickly and held me in an embrace. I immediately froze. I was so scared to who this was, and I didn't even have to look up to be answered. I looked into the familiar grey t-shirt that I had cried in, not to long ago. It was Trent. I freed my arms from their stiff position and hugged him back. He leaned down then.

"I see you recognise me, I never thought you would." I could tell he was smiling.

"I'm sorry for ever shutting you out, it was the biggest mistake. I did it to be free, so I would never be hurt again, but it hurt me even more. I couldn't be myself. I was always someone who had to be quiet and try to blend in with the background. But that's the exact opposite of what I want to be."

"And what do you want to be?" He asked.

"With you." I answered without hesitation. And this was true, I didn't want to be alone anymore.

"Well, I accept." He leaned down and placed his lips against mine. We stood there, kissing for what felt like ages, but could have been only a few seconds, when a forced cough snapped me out of our moment. I turned and saw my mum, she smiled a shy smile and held up a car key. Yet this key wasn't hers.

"Oh thank you, Katherine." Trent started to move towards my mum, and took the car keys. He looked at me, and I gave him a questioning glance. "I drove your mum here." Was all he said, and he started walking towards the door. It took me a moment, and I ran after him. We walked to the car, which was on the other side of the parking lot.

"Why the hell did you park all the way over here?" I asked, as I slipped into the passenger seat of Trent's new blue honda. The colour of the car reminded me of the pictures you saw of the beach. Not the ones with crystal clear water, but the ocean blue. The one where you felt like you could just melt away in, and stay there for hours and hours.

"Because, this baby is new. I wanted to keep it as far away as I could from other drivers so I didn't get it hurt on it's, like, fourth or fifth drive." All I could do was throw my head back and laugh. I looked over at him, patting the cars dash board.

"Come on, lets go home. I'm hungry." Trent stopped rubbing the car and turned on the car, and started the drive towards home. I was happy it was a silent car, rather than the ones that sound like a plane wreck. I leant back into the soft chairs. It was only soft because there was fluffy covers on the passenger seat, but the driver's seat was leather, which still would have been nice, but the softness reminded me of soft bears. I snuggled deep into the chair. Inhaling the new car smell. I could always remember when I was going to have my learners, but I can't trust myself in a car. I have the money for the lessons, just too scared to ever go for them. If I was lucky, I might get Trent to take me out, and teach me how to drive, without killing someone, or much rather myself. We went to Trent's house, because mum said it would be good to go for a walk in the fresh air, even though there was just a house seperating us. I told mum to go ahead. She quickly walked off, and I watched her until she got to the front of the house. I turned back, and saw Trent staring at me. I smile, and his face turned red.
