Nick sat at his counter in his apartment, surprise and anger filling his mind. He kept reading the report, his jaw clenching in more anger than surprise. Finishing the note, Nick slams his fists on the counter.

"God dammit, Jake." Nick hissed underneath his breath. He stalks over to his phone on his desk and calls a man from his work. "I'm going on a hunt, by myself." He said, not asking permission for he was the boss. The man on the other line started to protest and to reconsider. But Nick already made up his mind. Hanging up, Nick ran a hand through his short brown hair, his green eyes blazed with hatred.

Dragging out his old trunk, he unwrapped his hunting knife. Next, he got a thin bottle of water and a stake. He grimaced as he touched it, knowing the harm it can cause. He grinned in absolute delight. Not only does he get to hunt, which has been a few years since they got to, he gets to hunt his brother.

Nick leaned against a brick wall, in the alley close to the club, his target was last seen. Nick also knew that his target got his people from here. Nick decided to blend in a little with his surrounding and took on a dark appearance. His green eyes bright in the dark. Nick had seethed with hate on his way here. But he calmed himself, knowing in his hunts, emotion was your downfall.

Nick saw him about a mile away. He had brown hair cut short, just like Nick's. His skin had pale glow in yhe dark. They were twins. Identical twins. But now, as his brother lifts his head, instead of green eyes, Jake has icy blue ones.

They locked eyes from across the road. Jake grinned, amusement and hate glittering in the depths. Jake made his way casually across the road and Nick grabbed his arm, yanking him in the alley. Jake laughed, the sound sending a cold chill through his back.

"Is it true? Are you the one killing these people?"

Needle teeth gleamed as Jake grinned. "If I said it was the other blood-sucking brother of yours, would you believe me?"

"Is this funny to you? Really?" Nick growled.

"Everything is funny, brother-dear. You need only to open your eyes." Jake replied, looking bored, but amusement still in his eyes.

Nick tsked, reaching in his pocket. His hand closed around his stake. Jake's icy blue eyes glued to his. Nick pulled it out and fast as lightning, pointed it at Jake's heart.

Jake's eyes glittered with an unknown emotion. "Oh, put the state down, brother. We both know you won't harm me."

"I don't want to hurt. I never wanted to hurt you, but it's my job to bring those people to justice." Nick replied tightly.

"Even your own brother? Pity." Jake drawled sarcastically. "But you won't do it this time, not if you don't want me telling your colleagues about what you did to me." Then Jake's eyes narrowed, hatred blooming. "How you MADE ME this way."

Laughing, Nick casually looked up. His green eyes glittering with unknown emotions as he looks at Jake. He grinned.

"My brother, my poor brother." Nick chuckled, Jake seethed. Nick moved around swiftly, moving the stake between his hands. Jake didn't move his eyes trained to the ground, knowing he only had one advantage. The truth. "You're the monster in this town." Nick growled softly.

Jake flinched, but remained still. "No, Nick, you are. People just don't know it yet."

"Ah, because of the accusation of me making you that way." Nick said. Jake didn't reply.

Nick starts laughing, dropping the stake. He puts his hand on his twin's chin and tilts it up. Jake meets his blue eyes, much like his own. Nick smiled, needle thin fangs gleamed sharply.

"I wouldn't kill you." Nick admitted. "Not my own creation."
