Riley Bennan was the shy girl at her high school. She wasnt bullied, but she was ignored and they pretended not to know her. At least until Kyle Frost took notice of her. He was the golden boy of the school, the baseball player. Usually, the quarterback of the football team gets the fame. Not at this high school. Their amazing team was baseball, the Hogs. Kyle was their best batter and first base. He a chocolate eyes and blonde hair. Riley usually went to their games to silently and unnoticeably cheered him on.

When they won their first game of the season, Kyle's best friend Lucas threw a huge party to celebrate another good year. Riley's best friend Ocean was popular among that crowd. That was how Kyle and Riley officially met. They ran into each other at the party, Riley was about to leave. Ocean left them to talk as she went to say goodbye to her boyfriend on the team. They talked a little, Riley too shy to speak back.

Unknown to Riley, as she left, a couple guys came to Kyle. They played a game of truth or dare. When they got to Kyle, his friend dared him to ask Riley out and make her fall in love with him. He also made another stake, how long they are together is how much money Kyle will get from Danny, a guy who was watching them talk.

So Kyle did and Riley accepted, not knowing the truth behind the words and the meaning. Five months passed and his best friend Lucas came to speak to Riley, concerned about her.

Lucas was charming and very friendly, she liked him as soon as she was officially introduced, but something about him now scared her. He stood in front of her, his hands in his pockets, looking deeply upset.

"Hey, Riley." He spoke hesitantly, his eyes were a dark green, filled with loathing.

"Hey, Luke. Everything okay?" She asked him, putting her book bag on the ground.

He shook his head, his eyes focusing on the ground where her bag laid. "No, Riley, its bad."

"What's going on?"

He looked up, his eyes swimming with self-hatred. "If I had known, I would've never let him ask you out. I would've told you."

Riley started to panic, the reason he was here was because of Kyle. "Luke?"

"It was a dare, Riley. He asked you out on a dare. Yesterday I overheard Danny and a few other players, bragging and complaining about Kyle and the dare. He said that he pays Kyle a hundred every month he's with you." Riley let out a sob as the story washed over her. Luke reached towars her, sorrow in his green eyes. "I would've have told you if I had known before now."

Shaking her head, she grabbed her bag as she spun and took off into the school. People's heads turned, a few of her friends looked worried as she flew by. Sobbing, she made it to her locker, tears splashing down her cheeks. Slamming the door open, she quickly shoved her bag in the lockers. Shutting it, she turned and strode to her first class, the students whispering and watching her. Riley kept her face down and cried, her heart shattering as she kept thinking about Kyle.

Not watching where she was going, she hurtled right into another person. Gasping, she flailed as the slipped. The person grabbed her and she felt the power beneath his skin. She looked up, tracing everything she could before facing the person.

He was wearing a black leather jacket, and a white shirt beneath it. Black curls brushed the back of his neck and dangled across his forehead. A stronge defined jaw line, full pale pinks lips. A slightly crooked nose. She caught his eyes then, a bright blue that blazed with emotions she couldn't place.

It was Jason Akin, the ambitious boy of the school. Riley ran right into him. Tears fell from her eyes and Jason reached up to swipe them away, his eyebrows furrowing. A chill slid down Riley's spine, causing her eyes to dart away from the deep blue of his eyes. Eyes were locked onto them, girls gasping as they realized Jason held the beloved, or so they say, Riley Bennan in his arms. Tears choked her as Lucas's words came to mind. She hastily pushed away from Jason, not noticing his eyes widen. She took off again, her feet burrowing into the ground the ran on.

"Riley!"

She froze, his voice was smooth and deep. It sent delicious shivers down her spine. Heart pounding, she turned towards him. His handsome face was twisted in confusion as they stared at each other, but the energy that rippled between them was something neither of them could deny. Bystanders gaped at them, the rest of the baseball team glanced at her.

"Riley?" There was his voice, almost lost within the crowd. His brown eyes with filled with confusion and a spark of anger. His blonde hair was in a mess, small tussles fluttered out. Something she found charming Twenty-Four hours ago. She knew with every fiber of her being, that wasn't like that when he woke up. Someone gave him that hair.

Her heart cracked and then froze. She straightened, her eyes glued to the man who broke her heart, the first man she opened up to. Riley let everyone's eyes roam them, let them come up with rumors. She sent Kyle a wicked grin, filled with promise and hatred.

"You did this." She called.

Then turned and walked up to Jason. His eyes brightened, an emotion he looked scared of accepting. Riley stopped in front of him and gave him a genuine smile.

"You want to get out of here?" She asked, her voice a whisper, scared of rejection, holding out a hand. It was a jump, one she was ready to take. Everyone watched in astounded horror. Jason looked down at her, his handsome face twisted into a thinking face. His simple on his cheek gave her shivers.

Then that dimpled doubled as he gave her a smile. "With pleasure." He spoke, grabbing her hand.
