Warning: this is about a woman I knew who recently passed away. Please be advised to blood, horror, and tears.

A woman drove on a road to another town. Her face was tight with sleepiness as it was early and her two kids at school. Her husband bid her a farewell and a stay safe. He told her to message him when she gets to work. The road was clear, save for a car on the background coming toward her. She sighed before pulling to a stop at a stop sign. The car came too late for her to notice, the pain coming and going. Her vision going black.

She wasn't breathing.

Her heart wasn't beating.

She died on impact.

The man in the car that totaled the other, sat there quietly, his head spinning in shock. His vision was blurry and his head buzzing. The ruined car in front of him was silent and unmoving. He swallowed dryly, seeing the blood on the broken pieces of the windshield, blood on the ground where it laid in the corn field. A sick feeling twisted in him as he staggered out of the car, smoke drifting from its hood. He felt some bruises and nothing else as he made his way to the ruined car.

The woman laid still, glass raining all around her. Her eyes closed and her body slack. Tears burned his eyes as he realized he killed her, an innocent woman.

He killed amazing mother, a beautiful daughter and a best friend.

He could've done it differently.

He shouldn't have drank.

He shouldn't have driven.

He shouldn't even be here right at this moment, keeping this woman from going home ever again. He waited by the car, the police sirens and the ambulance veering to him. He sat stood there, the police coming to him.

He told them the truth.

He ran the stop sign.

He was drunk.

He murdered her by crashing into her, killing her on impact.

He was arrested from vehicle man slaughter and DUI.

I do not know if this is true, but its what I imagined what happened after I heard news of her passing, dying on impact from a drunk driver.

Please guys, dont drink and drive.

Stay at home and be with friends or family. Or get a taxi. Or a sober driver.

Never think it's safe to drink and drive.

Two children lost an amazing mother, a mother lost her daughter and a man lost his wife.

This could've been prevented.

How many more deaths will it take for someone to realize it isnt safe?
