I walked out of the cage, filled with frustration. I was mad. In fact I was more than mad I was furious. If I'm being completely honest, I was mad at myself, but mad at the demon even more so. He took Hazel's life when she didn't even do anything to him. I guess that's how he worked.

But, thanks to Hazel, I was prepared. I knew how to fight him and possibly even defeat him. I was ready, or at least, as ready as I could be.

I cocked a pistol and walked out the entrance of the cave, then swam across the river again.

"Alright! I know you're out there" I said, my confidence somewhat fake. "Come and get me demon. I'm ready"

Silence.

Still silence.

A slight breeze.

Silence.

"Oh come on! You've been on your little chase for so long and you're finally getting what you want. You're plan worked okay!! I'm all yours do your worst! Don't wanna talk? Don't wanna show yourself? Well, I'll have you kno-". A large white light surrounded me, blurring my vision.

I was falling. I don't know why but I was falling and the only thing hitting my back was the cool air in this weird abyss I had appeared in. After falling and falling for a moment, I abruptly hit the ground of a small dark room. The walls were blank and the room looked like an empty imagination; bare walls and a cool atmosphere. Dull grey carpet with off-white, stained walls. I looked around and noticed there wasn't a door, but a small window letting off a ray of light from the sunset sky outside. I thought I was alone, but at the same time it felt as if eyes were on me intensely. I heard a whisper and it gradually got louder. I made it out to say "Hello". It felt as if the voice was getting closer. I turned around to see if it was coming from behind me, but nothing was there. When I turned back I saw a pale face with red pulsing veins and eyes to match.
