(Justin's pov)
-8am-
Khalil and Za woke me up at 6am. We've been fighting for 2 hours straight, mostly about Christie, about how she's gonna get hurt if I don't send her off. I can't send her off, and I won't. She would have nowhere to go, but back to her parents where she gets beaten.
-6:15 a.m flashback-
"Why are they wanting to kill her instead of me?" I murmur in frustration once Khalil asks about what I'm gonna do about last night. "Because dude, they know that it'll hurt you. And if you're affected by that, then that's their shot to the top." "She's not gonna get hurt anymore."
I glare, even though I'm aware of how high the chances are of Christie being targeted again. "How do you know?" Khalil questions with raised brows. "...I don't," I sigh out of hopelessness. "I know you love her Bieber, but...don't put her life in anymore danger." "It already is....and I can't do shit about it!" I snap heatedly at them. "We don't know what to do." "Neither do I, but we're not letting anyone do anything else. No more meet ups with gangs that we never met with before. We've got enough enemies." I face the wall while holding my perplexed mind. "They're not gonna leave us alone." "Bro, Christie's not safe here," Za adds onto Khalil's statement. "She's not leaving," I strictly assure both of them. "Why not?" Khalil questions, building up a slight irritation. "Because she can't." "Why can't she?" They're obviously not letting this go, and I have a feeling they suspect that I'm hiding something. I'll stay here all night if it comes to that, but I am not telling them the truth. "She can't, ok? She just can't." I told Christie I wouldn't say anything about her parents and all her personal problems. "You're not answering my question!" Khalil demands loudly. "Shh!" I shush him so he wouldn't wake Christie up. "...She can't, and she won't...that's final. And if you have a problem with that, then you can leave," I lean against the wall, crossing my arms irritably. The room grows real quiet for a good 10 minutes before Khalil breaks it. "She's gonna get hurt," Khalil warns. "Shut up! There's nothing we can do about it. If she stays or goes, they're still gonna hurt her!" I hiss sharply, trying to keep this about business. But I can't. I just want to forget it all. " Okay, just calm down Bieber," Khalil takes a step towards me. "How am I supposed to calm down when I don't know if Christie will be ok! I can't stop wondering if everything will be alright! Honestly, I'm motherfuckin losing my goddamn mind! I won't calm down!" I holler in their faces, not caring if I wake Christie up anymore. I grab my black bag by the door, then walk out, slamming the door behind me. I storm into my car, and speed away from my apartment, going 60mph rather than 20mph. I slam the brakes behind another apartment building and dig into my bag until I feel a plastic bag, and a few pill bottles. I pop three pills in my mouth. One pill to get rid of the bad thoughts. One to numb me down. And one to make it last. I've been on drugs for about 2 years already. Nobody knows how much I need these drugs. I love being numb, and it's addicting, until it becomes a nightmare. Now it's just a viscous routine.

After I swallow all three pills, I open the bag of drugs. I smoke until soreness covers my throat, and my head buzzes with numbness. I smoke until my eyes burn and my lips are chapped. I smoke until the thought of Christie dying means nothing to me.
-end of flashback-
(Christie's pov)
I'm awakened by a shout, then realize there's no Justin next to me. There's silence all of a sudden. I slip on a sweater and  black shorts, then step into the other room. Za has his head in his hands while Khalil paces back and forth, cursing nonstop. Za spots me, then stands up with sunken eyes. I give him a confused look. Za puts his hand on my back, leading me to the couch. Khalil looks at me, then drops an f-bomb.
"What happened?" I furrow my eyebrows; then they exchange unreadable looks. "Bieber got a little upset, so he left, like, 45 minutes ago," Khalil explains briefly. "Where?" I anxiously bite my lip. "We don't know. He took the car," Za joins in. "Is he ok?" "Yeah, he probably needed time to himself. It was our fault in the first place," Khalil walks past me, and Za gives me a small smile before motioning me to sit down next to him. He turns to me, and it's kind of awkward, but I know he's safe. "Justin's really worried about you, just saying. It's really hard for him right now," Za glances to Khalil, then to me. "What did I do?" This is probably all my fault. I mean, ever since I took part in Justin's life, he's gotten nothing but bad luck. "No no. Christie, you didn't do anything. People just hate him...a lot." "Why?" I still feel like I'm in the way. "Because, they're jealous of him. Jealous that he has such a perfect girl by his side," he says to me, making me blush a bit. He chuckles, but it soon fades. "It's true. He even shows it—" The door opens to reveal Justin, tired and hollow. Both me and Za stand up and walk to him. "What are you doing to her Za?" Justin mutters grumpily. "Nothing. Just talking," Za puts his hands up in surrender. "Exactly," Justin grumbles. His eyes are red and his face is pale. Dark circles underline his eyes and his lips are unusually dry. The scent of smoke and drugs comes off of him, so I look at him worriedly.
"Justin?..." I breathe out, extremely concerned about his appearance. He moves past us, into his room. I gaze at Za nervously, and he motions me to talk to Justin. I turn around and follow Justin into his room, shutting the door carefully. Justin's changing his shirt.
"Are you ok?" I keep my distance from him. "Yeah, I'm fine." His voice is hoarse and groggy. "You don't look ok." "Leave it alone," he grumbles, so I nod, then sit on the bed. Justin sits next to me, looking at me blankly. I've never seen him so drained before.
"Remember when I promised to never leave you?" he holds my hand. "Yeah," I stare into his red, tired eyes. "Don't forget that. ok?" His breath smells of smoke and drugs. He must've been on them while he was gone. "I won't." I look down at our hands, which fit together perfectly. "I really love you." "I love you too," I lean against his shoulder and wrap my arms around him. He lies down on the bed, and let out an exhausted breath. I snuggle next to him, and we eventually fall back asleep, no sheets, just his arms keeping me warm.

(A/N: So I have to get up at 6am every morning for summer school. Yay🙄 Anyways, are you guys going on any vacations this summer?)
