(Justin's pov)
I wake up to feel Christie squirm in my arms. I release her and lie flat on my back. Christie stops, then rests her head on my chest, where I run my fingers through her blonde hair.
"You have to be hungry," I remember how she didn't eat much yesterday. "I am," she speaks sweetly, playing with the sheets. "Then we should go. What time is it?" I reach for my phone. 11:45am. Not too late. Christie sits up, and steps off the bed to get ready.
From now on, I'm gonna let the thought of her dying get to my head. People are just fucking around uwith me. That's just what gangs do to each other. We intimidate gangs so they come crashing down.

I get up and put on black oversized shirt with baggy jeans. Along with my black Supras. I put a gold chain on and fix my hair as I walk into the main room where Za and Khalil are talking by the counter. "I've got a few plans," I fit on a black SnapBack. "Remember the last time you had a plan?" Khalil recalls. "Yeah, and it worked," I remark.
"But we're here, being targeted by a lot of gangs." "Like I said, I've got plans. So if you want money, then I suggest you help," I give them a serious stare, which they seem to notice. "What is it?" Khalil sighs as if he's unsure. "Just do what I say. Don't fuck it up ok?" My hands press on the table, and they both nod. "We're gonna rob a store." They both have surprised faces that fade into disapproving stares. "Is that a yes?" I wait for an answer. "What are we gonna do about her?" Khalil questions, sounding like they agree for the most part. "One of you can stay with her, while we go. We'll do it tomorrow." "...Ok Bieber, I hope this works. It's a good plan, but it's risky," Khalil turns around to face me. "There's one more thing we gotta do, and I know you'll enjoy it." "What?" Za gives me a look as if he knows I'm up to something. "We need to kill Max's gang before they kill her." I tense up a bit, but it feels great to say it out loud. "Dude, they were just fucking with you," Za comments. "How do you know?" I glare doubtfully. "...I don't," Za admits, realizing I'm right. "Well, are we gonna wait and find out?" I hold my glare on him. "No." "You know they're not the only ones trying to kill her, right?" Khalil has a depressed tone in his voice, and in a way, I know he wants to protect Christie. But it's just not possible. "...At least I know who one of them is." My voice lowers down to the floor "When are we killing them?" I hear one of them ask after a few quiet seconds. "Tonight, around 10pm," I suggest. "Ok, but one of us has to stay here with Christie" "...I'll do it," Khalil generously volunteers. "You're sure?" I study him to make sure he's truly ok with it. "Yeah, I need to get to know her anyway," Khalil shrugs. "Ok," I nod with a smile. "What time for the robbery?" "Tomorrow night, I guess," I answer and shrug. "Ok," Za searches the fridge "Hey bro, do you want me to bring you a souvenir. Maybe a heart, or liver, or something?" I joke with Khalil. "No thanks," Khalil chuckles at me. At that moment, Christie walks in wearing an indigo sweater. I smile amiably at her as I link our arms.
"Well, I'm gonna go take my baby out to eat. I'll tell you when I'm on my way back," I give Christie a smirk while talking with the guys. She blushes at the name I called her. Both Khalil and Za just playfully roll their eyes as Christie and I walk out.
After holding the food for her, I start driving toward an Ihop. "Let's eat something that'll really fill us up. Hell, I haven't eaten either," I smile at her. "Ok," she grins, looking sheepishly at her sleeves. We enter the Ihop and sit down at a booth. Once we have everything ordered, I warmly put my arm around her. "How are you feeling?"I examine her eyes for a hint of dishonesty. "Better," she genuinely smiles, which shows that she's not lying. "That's good to hear babe," I peck her lips a few times, making her giggle. "Oh by the way, Za and I gotta do something tonight, so is it ok if Khalil stays with you? It'll just take a couple of hours." "That's ok," she nods, and I just can't help but admire her. She's so amazing. I don't know what to do with her. "I love you," I kiss her cheek, not caring what anyone thinks. Fuck opinions. I've got the best goddamn girl in the world, and she's right by my side.
. . .
After breakfast, Christie and I sit in the car. She didn't eat more than half a pancake. That's pretty good. I think she's slowly starting to eat more. Now if she'd just gain some weight that'd be so much better.
"So what are you gonna do about money?" she questions, glancing shyly at me. Dammit, I hate lying to her, but she'd try to change my mind if I told her the truth. "Probably sell some drugs. We've ordered a new supply anyway." "How much do you have now?" The fabric of her sleeves is worn out, due to all the constant tugging. She has a habit of doing that. "About $200," I reply, and she looks a little guilty. "It's their damn fault."
I grumble to lift her spirits as I pull up behind a building for privacy.
"C'mere," I motion her to sit on my lap, so she does, and I hold her close. "I know this is all too much for you baby," I place my finger under her chin to make her look at me. Her dark brown eyes tell me that my words are true. I tuck back a strand of her blonde hair.
"But no matter what happens, I need you to know something," I continue my statement, staring in her worried eyes. "What?" she sinks down to a whisper. I think that if she didn't whisper, her voice would crack. I know how people hide things, and Christie's really bad at it, but that's ok. I need her to be bad at it, because that's all I need to safe her.
"I'm not leaving you." Our foreheads press together as we inhale each other's breaths. I make the initiative and kiss her, wrapping my arms around her as my hands hold her waist. She loves it. I can tell by the way she relaxes. My fingers press into her sweater as I kiss her deeply, The thought of losing her is overwhelming me. We both catch our breaths after I break the kiss. "You want ice cream?" I kiss her neck, avoiding her soft spot, so we don't take this too far. She still moans and strokes my hair. "Mhm," she smiles, so I rise up to give her one last kiss on her lips before opening the car, so can I drive to the ice cream shop.
"Which one?" "Uhm...strawberry." "Is that your favorite?" "Yeah," she grins before I order myself a chocolate cone. I hand the ice cream to her.
"So how long have you lived here in New York?" I ask out of curiosity. "About all my life. What about you?" "I lived in Canada, but then I moved here." "That explains your accent," she points out, and I can't help but smile at her. "What?" "Nothing," I keep the smile on my face, because I love to see the curiosity in her eyes. "Justin." "It just that you're so...you're so....ugh you're so...perfect." It's so troubling to describe her in just one word. She's everything.
"No I'm not," she rolls her eyes playfully at me. "I say you are, and who's opinion are you worried about?" I question her, leading back to the conversation I had with her a while back. "I don't know. Mine?" she smiles, but the tone in her voice sounds bummed out. She also breaks eye contact, another bad habit she does when she's lying or upset or bothered by something. "Doesn't my opinion matter?" The conversation becomes serious. "Yeah, but—" "But nothing. You're perfect, and that's what I truly think," I cut her off, now holding her face, which is a little teary. It's 4pm.
"Let's go," I take her hand, pulling her out with me. We both didn't eat much of our ice cream, but for Christie, I didn't expect her to eat it all.
-6pm-
I park by my apartment, but before we climb up the stairs, I grab Christie and kiss her deeply. After I break the kiss, I lean by her ear.
"You're perfect," I whisper, then kiss her a few more times. "That's so beautiful." We hear a familiar, amused voice and look up to see Khalil and Za clapping on the top floor of the apartment. "What are you guys doing?" I pull away from Christie. "We're about to go eat pizza." "Are you hungry?" "Not really," she whispers, looking at her sleeves again.
"Mind if we come? I kinda just ate, but I'm a growing boy," I nudge Christie jokingly, which makes her giggle. "Sure. C'mon," they step down the stairs. "Get in the front babe," I open the door for her. Once they get in the back, I drive out of the parking lot and on my way to a pizza place.
"So how much money do we have now?" Khalil asks from the back. "About $100."
"That's not a lot. I got another $200 selling weed today," he states nonchalantly. "Finally some good news." "I guess we're already on a good start," Za pats my shoulder. "Yep."
After pulling into the parking lot, I take Christie's hand, and we walk into the restaurant. I order a slice for myself while Khalil and Za order for themselves.
"I guess it's just you and me tonight, Christie," Khalil smiles at the girl beside me. "Yeah," she sheepishly smiles back at him. "What are you guys gonna do?"
Christie asks specifically towards me. "We're doing a favor for another gang. They need our help with tracking down a drug dealer," I lie easily, too easily, and it hurts a little. "Oh, ok," she nods as our order arrives. We eat and talk while Christie remains in the shadows.

If the plan works, and we keep selling drugs at this rate, then we'll be back to normal in a few days.
After dinner, I drive us back to my place; then I lead Christie into my room. I'm so happy that she's doing a little better. She did seem a little weird today, but I don't think it's because of her illness. "I need to get moving, so I hope you're ok with Khalil for a little while," I give her hand a squeeze. "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine with that." she nods solemnly.
"Thanks babe," I peck her cheek before stepping out into the living room, where I pull Za aside. "So I'm planning on killing all 3 of them, so it's best to use a gun," I secretly shove a gun in Za's hands. "Got it," Za changes into another shirt. "Let's get going." "And you..." I step over to Khalil.
"...Take care of my girl for me. "You can trust me," Khalil winks playfully at me. Then I walk over to Christie and pull her close. "I won't be long ok?" I gently caress her cheek, and she nods, blushing a bit. Smiling softly, I kiss her soft lips before motioning Za to follow me out the door.

(A/N: Justin's been in such a great mood lately. It makes me so happy 😁. How's your summer so far? Next post = Tuesday)
