"It's only been a couple of days, and I miss her already." Skybright moped, her chin resting on her foreleg. "Wow, there's a surprise. Never knew you actually cared for Mo." I snapped, sick of her pity-me attitude. "Look Tigermoth, she's my sister. Do you really expect me to brush off her disappearance like it's nothing?" Skybright said, her eyes glowing dangerously. I resisted the urge to claw her, though it was obvious she desperately needed it.

"Sky, stop antagonizing Tigermoth." Reflex yawned from behind his book. We were sitting in the pavilion, on a bright sunny day, and yet, he was reading. "Light of the sun Reflex, you're such a dimmer. I wasn't antagonizing anyone." Skybright rolled her eyes, stretching. "Look, I'm going to go to the beach." I announced, though I didn't really expect anyone to care. "Have fun." Reflex said without taking his eyes off of his book. "Hope you drown." Skybright said snottily, and I smiled. "See Reflex, Skybright knows she can't hurt me. No antagonism here, don't you worry." I waved with one wing, launching myself into the sky. "See you guys later!"

A few seconds of flying, and I arrived at the Crystal Shores, aptly named for the shimmering sand that decorated the oceanside. The particles swirled around me as I landed, sticking to my wings and underbelly as I settled down. Every day I came here, waiting for the telltale flash of light that accompanied a Morpher whenever they morphed. "Moonsong..." I sighed, digging my claws into the ground. The water washed up around me, pooling at my feet. "No one knows where you are, Mo. We're worried sick," I decided not to mention Skybright. "Are you on the other island? Is that why we can't find you? Did you decide to stay there?"

"Did you decide to leave me?"

I scooped some sand and water up, letting it fall through my claws. "This is ridiculous." I growled to myself, throwing the rest into the ocean that reflected the dawn sky. "Why do I even bother? It's not like she'll hear me."

A slight movement registered at the edge of my vision, and as I turned, a shrill scream pierced the air. "Tigermoth!" Queen Iridescent swooped towards me.

"Your Majesty, is that-"

"The intruder alarm." Her face was grim.

"It seems we've been found."
