The Impossible man (doctor who fanfic)

Jo's POV..

"Hello, sorry, but... who exactly are you???" Angie asks me. "oh, I'm Jo, I'm from another universe. the doctor saved me from a weeping angel."
"oh... I'm Angie"
"I know" I say absently, forgetting that the Doctor Who thing kind of surprises people. Angie raises an eyebrow. I begin to explain.
"in my universe, this" gesturing to the whole of the TARDIS "isn't real. instead we have a TV show called Doctor Who. you're in one of the episodes"
"cool" she says, "so in another universe I am famous" I laugh and nod.

The TARDIS lands on Z3 again and I practically run outside. We are in some sort of foyer. I can still hear the brakes of the TARDIS when it occurs to me that we've fully materialised. I begin to wonder why, when another TARDIS, quite simpler (but not identical) to the one I've just stepped out of appears.

9 steps out, followed by Rose, Jack and lastly Mickey. Jack is the first to speak, addressing Clara and only Clara, "Captain Jack Harkness" he wiggles his eyebrows, "and who are you?"
"Shtop iiiit" says 10 as he steps out of his newly materialised TARDIS. "I was just saying hello" Jack protests. Martha steps out of the TARDIS and seems shocked to see Mickey. I rack my whovian wired brain to try and find the reason why. Then it hits me. I run over to Martha before she approaches Mickey in any affectionate way.

"Martha" I smile
"hello, what's your name?"
"I'm Jo" I grin, she looks at me and smiles back. "hello Jo"
"Um... ok, you kind of need to know this about me. I'm from an alternate universe where you aren't real. you are part of a TV show though. its called Doctor Who and I need to know, so that I don't give away spoilers, when you last saw the doctor and what you did." She looks taken aback, but I need to make sure that nothing timey-whimy happens between her and Mickey. "um... ok" she smiles "the last time I saw the doctor was when we were on the crucible together" I nod "so...you and Mickey?" I question. she grins "we're dating!"

"Well... He doesn't know you yet." someone had to break to news to her. "he is hung up on Rose at the moment. Rose and Jack don't know you either. try not to reveal to many spoilers to them and DO NOT be affectionate with Mickey!" she looks a little upset at this news, I can't blame her, who wouldn't be? "ok, I will keep that in mind" she then wonders off to talk to 11.

Finally, when we've all had a good chat for five minutes, we start to work our way into teams when we realise that their are only 11 of us. "um, has anyone missed anyone, someone we can add to make and even number?" I ask, trying to think of all the companions that we've missed. we've missed Sarah Jane Smith, but I really doubt that she would want to come to this gathering for laser tag. we've missed Amy and Rory but they never left the doctor until the end, and even if they did then there would be 13 of us.

We finally give up and decided that which ever doctor drew the short straw would be missing a player.

10 draws the short straw and then the argument begins. "I want Rose on my team" says Mickey. rose rolled her eyes at this and Martha looks hurt.
"I don't want to be on her team"
"I want to be in his team"
"you can't be on my team"
"we have to team up"
This went on for ten minutes until we finally worked it out.

10, Rose and Mickey were on a team.
11, Artie, Jack and Clara were on a team.
I was with 9, Angie and Martha.

"Lets do this" I yell enthusiastically, just as a load crash sounds through the foyer and a spaceship falls through the roof, and out hops a VERY familiar figure.

10 is the first to speak.
"what?...What?... WHAT?..."
