Alex's P.O.V
Freya was looking over the spell Esther had written down for her, and looked concerned as Klaus, Esther, and I stared at her. "I can't do this. This spell requires an enormous amount of power." Freya said anxiously.
"Which you have." Esther said to her.
"And that power needs to be anchored, or I'll be lost inside Eva's mind along with Rebekah. Unlike your magic, mine isn't anchored to any one place - because of you, I have no home." Freya explained and Esther shrugged.
"Perhaps." Esther turned to Klaus and I. "But, there is no other spell." She said. Klaus and I looked torn, and I didn't want to trust either of them. But Esther seemed more trustworthy than Freya, and that's saying something. Freya stared at Klaus and I.
"You." Freya said and walked towards my husband. I grabbed his hand trying to warn him not to get close. He pulled me behind him and protect me from Freya. "I can use you as my anchor. I'll channel your power while I breach Eva's mind." I saw as Esther eyed Freya suspiciously. Ok, if Esther is eyeing her suspiciously, should we be worried? Nevermind, I'm already worried.
"And there it is. The price. If she channels you, she will have access to your mind, past and present. She will know everything about you." Esther explained and I looked at Klaus. I saw he was considering these two conflicting statements as he paced around. In front of me, in case Freya tried anything.
"Klaus." I said and he looked at me. I gave him a look saying I trusted Esther more than Freya. And, again, that is saying a lot coming from me.
"All of my strategies and all of my secrets laid bare to give to Dahlia." Klaus turned to face Freya. Then he looked at me and smiled. "You must think I'm a fool." He said and I let out a breath. I spotted Elijah standing behind Klaus.
"Unless it's not a trick." Klaus turned around to him. Elijah stared at Freya determinedly. "I'll be the anchor." Elijah said and I just closed my eyes. Really! Did you not hear what your mother just said about her?
"Brother, I think not." Klaus said incredulously and Elijah looked at me. I nodded in agreement with my husband, but Elijah looked back at Klaus, ignoring my warning. And here I thought you trusted me...
"Brother, whatever this is, nothing must prevent us from saving our sister. I will not lose Rebekah." Elijah said and I sighed.
"I won't either." I said to him and he looked at me again. "But nowhere in my right mind would I let a person I met yesterday into my head!"
"Oh yes brother, by all means, let's give Dahlia's whelp access to all the information she needs to destroy us!" Klaus said to his brother soon after. Freya, who was becoming increasingly infuriated by Klaus' continued paranoia, gripped the chain that linked her shackles. Elijah, looking exasperated and disappointed at me, then pointed at Esther.
"And since when do we heed the words of this serpent?" Elijah asked us. Ever since I trusted her more than Freya, that's when. Freya became furious with us.
"ENOUGH!" Freya shouted.
She suddenly yanked her arms away from her body, easily breaking through the magic-proof shackles and allowing her access to her magic again. She held up her hand and twisted her wrist, which snapped Klaus' neck and caused him to fall unconscious to the floor. I screamed in horror and looked at Freya, stunned and confused. I ran to Klaus' unconscious body.
"Klaus." I said and pulled his head into my lap.
"For an upgraded model, you're not very sharp." Freya muttered. I laughed a little, she looked at me, then smiled. Freya walked over to Elijah. "Let's go." Elijah looked to me with my husband head in my lap.
