Alex's P.O.V

Bonnie and I were outside as she cut her hand. She dropped her blood over the Ascendant as she started the spell. "Sangiema meam et nos mundo cacerema. Sangiema meam et nos mundo cacerema." Bonnie chanted. After a few moments Damon showed up with Mom hand-in-hand.

"Damon!" I said and he smiled. "Took you long enough." He rolled his eyes and we all held onto Bonnie, who was now holding the Ascendant.

"BONNIE!" I heard Kai shout behind us. Bonnie kept doing the spell and I looked behind me. Kai looked at me and smiled. "Alex..." I could Damon's stares on my neck. "Please." Kai said and I looked at him sadly.

"I'm sorry, Kai." I said, then we were back in the boarding house. I looked around and saw Klaus pacing while Elena sat on the couch. They were both worried. Klaus noticed we were back and hugged me, I hugged him back.

"Are you ok?" Klaus asked and I nodded. He kissed me and I kissed him back.

"I'm ok." I said to him. Klaus then stood up protectively as he looked behind me.

I turned around and saw my Mom looking around the house, confused and overwhelmed. I walked up to her and took her hand. She looked at me and smiled. She then looked at Klaus, who was standing behind me. I walked Mom up to him and smiled.

"Klaus meet my mom, Lily Salvatore. Mom meet Klaus...my husband." I said and she seemed surprised. Yeah, I talked about my babies and all when I first saw her, but I didn't tell her I was married.

"You're married?" Mom asked and I nodded.

"Trust me it sounds a lot more simple than it was." I said and Klaus chuckled.

(Her Outfit ^^) I changed out of my winter clothes considering how it wasn't winter, but I still wore a jacket. Mom was upstairs in Stefan's room. I had Hope and Shawn with me as we walked upstairs. I saw her looking around his room. She turned to me and noticed them in my arms.

"Hey Mom." I said to her and walked up to her.  "Klaus and I have to go, but I wanted you to meet two people first." She looked at my children in awe. "Mom, this is Hope and Shawn. Your grandchildren." I said to her.

Mom went out to touch Hope's arm. Hope cooed happily and held onto Mom's finger. We laughed and I let Mom hold her, while I held onto my son. "They're perfect, Alexandria." Mom said and I nodded.

"Yeah, they are." I said, then sighed when she looked at me.

"What is it?" Mom asked me as she shuffled Hope in her arms, so she was more comfortable.

"Why didn't you come back for us? Why did you leave us with dad?" I asked her and she sighed.

"The night of my funeral, I did visit Stefan." I looked at her surprised. "I had just turned, and...I wanted to see my children. But, when I leaned down to whisper into Stefan's ear, the hunger surged. All I could hear was the pulse in his veins, all I could smell was the blood." I looked down and away from her.

"So, I went to leave. But before I did I passed your room." I looked back up at my Mom. "I watched you sleep for a little while. Knowing that if I fled, you would grow up to be the girl I always wanted you to be." Mom explained and I felt tears.

"That night I-I thought someone was in my room. I felt like you were looking over me." I explained to her and she smiled. Mom placed her hand on the side of my face.

"And you became the woman I always knew you'd be." I looked at Mom and she smiled. "Strong, independent...and most of all, kind. But I fled that night for your sake. And, no matter how deeply you felt my absence, it is half as deep as I felt for you and your brothers." Mom explained and I hugged her.

We pulled away and she rubbed Shawn's arm. Shawn was asleep on my shoulder when Mom handed Hope back to me. "I love you, Mama." I said and Mom kissed the top of my head.

"I love you, too. My little angel." Mom said and I smiled. "Now, go. I'm sure your husband's waiting." Mom wiped the tears from my eyes and I nodded.

"Bye Mom." I said and she smiled.

"Goodbye Alexandria." She said and I walked downstairs. I walked outside where Damon joined me as I put Hope and Shawn in their car seats. They were back in Klaus' car now.

"Call me when you get back to New Orleans." Damon said and I nodded as I closed the door.

"Ok. Good luck getting Stefan back, and tell him to call me once he's normal again." I said to him and he nodded while we hugged. I pulled away and Damon kissed my forehead.

"Will do." Damon said as I got in the car next to Klaus. Damon closed the door and Klaus started the car. I waved goodbye to him and he did the same. Klaus drove out of the driveway and onto the road, before looking at me.

"Ready to go back to our messed up, complicated lives?" I asked him and he laughed. He then took my hand and smiled at me.

"All I ask is that I'm with you." Klaus said and kissed my hand. I smiled and kissed his cheek as we drove back home.
