Alex's P.O.V

Elijah had finally arrived home and he was very unhappy, to find out from Rebekah and I, that Freya had left. But since I haven't had Klaus yell at me yet, I'm assuming Elijah didn't tell him my idea. And I was slowly starting to like the idea more and more.

"What do you mean 'she's gone?'" Elijah asked us.

"She was a risk -"

"- She was also the only one who intimately the enemy we now face!" Elijah said cutting me off.

"- Both of you, just stop it -" Rebekah said to us and I talked over her.

"I was protecting my children from someone who it's obvious none of us completely trust." I said to Elijah.

"Correct, we've done nothing but doubt Freya." Elijah said frustrated. He looked at Rebekah, who looked guilty. "Nevertheless, she kept her promise, and she saved your life. We certainly haven't demonstrated the same kindness towards her." Rebekah rolled her eyes in frustration, knowing that Elijah was right.

"So, what the bloody hell do we do now?" Rebekah asked.

"There is a jazz club in Algiers by the name of the St. James Infirmary. Marcel has acquired it, and Josephine is fortifying it as a sanctuary against magic." Elijah turned to me, I wasn't happy. "Pack your things. Marcel will escort you, Hope, and Shawn there tonight at nine o'clock. I'll make sure Hayley and Jackson are with you." I rolled my eyes, clearly not a fan of this plan. Elijah then pointed to Rebekah. "You, wait with me." Elijah said to her.

"What for?" Rebekah asked confused.

"If Freya shall return, we will be here. Now, whether we trust her or not, we cannot win this fight without her." Elijah said and left the room, and Rebekah looked over at me. I still wasn't happy that I was begin lock up again by a Mikaelson brother.

I was in the baby's room, placing Hope and Shawn in their carriers. I had packed the play crib away when Klaus came storming in. "You want to send them away!" Klaus yelled and I sighed.

"Well, Elijah told you then." I said and turned to him. He was still angry with me. "They're not safe here, Klaus."

"I will keep them safe." Klaus said pointing to them. I grabbed his hands and he looked at me. His breathing started to calm down and I looked at him with love. I placed my hand on his cheek and smiled softly.

"Do you remember when we were in Mystic Falls two days ago?" I asked him and he looked away from me. "No one cared they were Mikaelsons, no cared you were there again, but everyone cared if they were in danger. Even Kai and Kai doesn't know me."

"I can't protect them if they aren't here with us." Klaus said and I sighed.

"Damon, Stefan, Caroline, Alaric, Elena, and Matt will protect them. My mom will protect them. Bonnie will put a spell on Shawn and Hope to hide them. They safer there, than they are here." I explained and Klaus sighed while looking at me.

"They're not leaving this city." Klaus said to me. I sighed and looked at our kids.

"Klaus, darling," I said and brought him over to them. "Look at them." He didn't want to, but did anyways. "Do you feel like you just want to take them in your arms and protect them? Because I do. And I trust my family, my mother, brothers, and friends to protect them with their life."

"I love you." Klaus said and kissed my head. "I'm going to kill Dahlia tonight and come and get you." I looked shocked, but he stopped me before I could say anything. "Then we can leave."

"What?" I asked him.

"If tonight goes well, we can leave. We can grab our children and head to Mystic Falls. We can leave this city and its problems behind us. We can be a family." Klaus explained and I smiled. I hugged him and kissed him.

"Stay alive, please." I said and Klaus nodded. He kissed me and I kissed him back. When I opened my eyes he was gone. I then went back to packing up the baby's things.

"Alex?" Jackson asked and I walked out of the nursery.

Hayley was with the wolves as Jackson came to get me. We were both dressed for cold weather, I was in a warm coat and scarf (Outfit above ^^), and Hope and Shawn bundled up in a knit hats and warm sweaters. I had a large bag packed full of their things over my shoulder, and Hope and Shawn, who was in his carrier, looked as though they were scared and whimpered, almost near tears.

"Klaus and Elijah are the oldest and most powerful vampires in the world, and Dahlia's got them scared. If she takes them down, I don't want Hope or Shawn to be around to see what happens next." I said and sighed.

"If we're going to run we need to go to Mystic Falls. We need to go to my brothers." Jackson looked at me sympathetically as he walked over and gently caresses Hope's head to soothe her. "Do you really think that this is the best plan to protect them?" I asked and he nodded.

"I really do and so does Hayley." Jackson said. I stared at him before the two of us left the room with Hope and Shawn in tow. The thing Jackson didn't know about was that I left Klaus a little note telling him where we were going.

Outside in a back alley, Jackson, Shawn, Hope, and I were waiting for Aiden to come pick us up. Shawn was asleep in the carrier Jackson was holding. Hope was still making whining noises as I held her in my arms. Jackson anxiously rubbed his hands together for warmth.

"He should be here by now. Something must have happened." Jackson sighed and I nodded.

"It's ok. It's not like I don't want to see my mother or anything." I said and Jackson laughed.

"He might show up, so don't give up hope." Jackson said and Hope had began to cry.

Jackson was helping me wrap a blanket around the two of us, to warm us up. We wrapped one around Shawn as well, so he didn't wake up. After a moment, Marcel sped toward us and looked at us suspiciously.

"Everything okay?" Marcel asked and I looked at him. Jackson looked alarmed, but I simply gave him a look and played it cool.

"Took you long enough. Are we going to Algiers or what?" I asked him.

"Right now, that club is the safest place in town." Marcel said and I nodded. Jackson and I walked past him to leave.
