Third Person's P.O.V
Elijah was waiting outside Alex's old shack in the Bayou when, after a moment, Alex, naked and slightly dirty in her human form, came to join him. He handed her his jacket, which she put on before giving Elijah a big hug.
"How are they?" Alex asked him.
"They're safe and well, according to Freya. Also Stefan is home, safe and sound with your older brother." Elijah explained and she sighed in relief. He hesitated for a moment. "Alex, I promise you, by whatever means necessary, I will release you from this."
"I want you to make me another promise, Elijah. I can't let Klaus be the only thing that they know. I need you to be there for them. Promise me that. They need you." She said to him. Elijah seemed conflicted, since he wasn't eager to return to life with Klaus, but Alex looked so sad and determined that his face softened as he reconsidered his decision.
"Also tell Klaus, despite everything he has ever done to me, somewhere in my heart I still love him. He's still my husband." Alex said
and paused for a long time.
"But I can not forgive him."
