A/N: This chapter is longer than what I usually do.

Ivy sat in front of her makeup vanity brushing her freshly straighten hair.  She practiced her smile in the mirror as she applied a little blush to her pale cheeks, topping with some highlighter. There was a knock on the door before Silas popped his head in.

"Heard I got a new little sister, had come see her." He smiled "I'm skipping a class for you."

"Thank you," she laughed getting up and hugging him taking the flowers he gave her setting it on her dresser.

"Someone else is here to see his sort of little sister, oh and you're an aunt," Silas said hopping onto her bed, letting out a sigh of comfort. Right as she went to swat him off her bed there was another knock on the door.

"Heard someone got adopted and heartbroken in the same week." Hunter laughed walking in with a handful of treats and flowers. "Got you a few good crying movies like the notebook and shit."

"Awe thank you!" She smiled taking all the stuff out of his hands placing them accordingly in her room before her legs were attacked by her favorite little munchkin, Lucy.

She couldn't help the smile on her face, it felt like it was the first real smile she's had since she and Angelo broke up. She looked over at Silas and Hunter laying on her bed, Lucy climbing all over them, her giggles filling her room. She returned to getting ready, letting Lucy play with her make-up, getting ready with her.  An hour later there was a knock on the door.

"Come in," Ivy smiled brushing Lucy's hair into a ponytail holding it with the pink skull bow she had worn.

"Can I talk to you?"

Ivy instantly stopped looking at Angelo who stood in her doorway, in black tattered jeans and a blue button-down shirt. Ivy got up, walking toward him, her hands were shaking and she could feel the lump growing in her throat. Silas gave her a worried look, while Hunter, on the other hand, looked ready to wring Angelo's neck. Ivy gave them a small smile before walking out the room closing the door behind her

"Talk."

"I just wanted to let you know I brought a friend, she's pretty cool, you'll like her."

Her heart dropped, for some reason, she was hoping he'd beg her to take him back. She was hoping he'd go on about how he'd learned that he needed her and that he had fucked up so bad, but that's not what she got and it broke her. She muttered an, oh nodding her head, her eyes fluttering trying to stop the tears that brimmed her eyes. "yeah, cool." she whispered before turning around and opening her room door.

"Ivie, why are you crying?" Lucy asked, hugging her legs before running up to Angelo who had just begun to walk away.

"Hey, Asshowle! you made Ivie Cry!" she shouted before punching him in his crotch. Hunter applauded as Angelo fell to the floor in pain. "No wone makes my Ivie cry." she spat at him her hand on her hips and she stood over Angelo. Ivy stood there shocked at the show that little girl put on, but she guessed that's what happens when your godfather is Xavier Jr.,  your so-called uncle is Silas Jinger, and your father is Hunter ex-drug-dealer. She almost laughed at how comical it was to watch little innocent Lucy in her dress with her blonde ponytail with a giant pink bow take down Angelo and skip back into the room like it never happened.

"good girl," Hunter smiled "but remember what I said about the cursing."

"shit, I'm sorry" Lucy smiled before covering her mouth.

===========

During dinner, the tension in the air between Angelo and Ivy was so thick you could see it sink because it was so dense. Both of their parents tried to insinuate conversations which just ended in simple hums or one-word answers. She hated every second of it, watching the girl Angelo brought whisper things to him and hold hand and kiss him, it made her blood boil and when Hunter and Lucy left she felt more exposed to it. It was Hunter, Lucy, and Silas that where saving her from all the awkward conversations. Now all she had was Silas and she knew he wouldn't be able to keep up with it all. She sighed, her fork just playing with her food now.
