Going Crazy

Chapter 6

After I left Lucy's apartment, Rogue and Lector were waiting for me at the guild hall. They were eager to know how things went.

"So, did she seduce you or were you trying to put the moves on her again?" Rogue snickered.

I rolled my eyes. Sometimes he can be really immature.

"Did you guys kiss?" Lector laughed.

My fave flushed a vibrant color of red.

"Leave me alone guys, come on."

"Look at Stings face! It's pretty!" Frosch pointed.

That only made Rogue and Lector laugh harder.

"Come on Sting, we've got to get you some nice clothes." Rogue gave me a playful shove towards the guild hall doors.

After awhile of shopping and exploring around town, the festival lights glowed in the dark of the night and the streets were alive with dancing, drinking and laughter.

I ran into a couple of Fairy tail members, none of them were angry enough to growl at me or insult me for joining their guild though. Rogue and Frosh had left Lector and I at a booth of drinks. Who knows where he and his little pal ran off to.

After awhile of chatting with Lector, an unfamiliar voice called my name. I turned around to find a man dressed in a suit with long hair that looked like a lions mane. He had sparkling
lime-green eyes and black glasses.

"The name's Loki. I heard you were the one from Sabertooth called Sting."

I nodded. "You want something from me?"

He shook his head. "Lucy is a good friend of mine. Don't get too close to her tonight."

He turned around and disappeared into the crowd with a final gleam of his glasses when the glow from the lights reflected off of them.

"Don't get too close to her tonight..." I grumbled beneath my breath. "Who does he think he is?" I ordered another drink.

Lector was unusually quiet and all of a sudden stood and said he had some business to attend to.

"What?" He normally would never leave me.

"I'll see you later Sting!" He took off into the sky.

I stared after him with a puzzled expression. What was that all about?

"Hey!" Something came in contact with my cheek and I fell off the stool and on to the ground.

Natsu. That pink-haired punk stood over me with red eyes halting into my soul and Happy flying above his head.

The salami er cracked his knuckles and smoke billowed from his nose as he spoke.

"There's a rumor going around you've signed up for the couple's dancing competition with Lucy. Tell me if that's true and I'll burn you to a crisp!"

"Natsu!" Happy rolled his eyes. "You're such a dummy. He's never gonna tell you the truth with that threat."

I stood and wiped the dirt off my pants and only smirked in response. Then turned away. I could sense his next punch rearing towards me, I quickly stepped to the side and let him bolt past me. He stumbled to the ground and I managed to slip away before he could get back up.
