Chapter 23

Fernando's POV

"Babe, wake up. You have to go!" Anna whispers in my ear. I slowly get up and check the time. It's eight in the morning and I have to be there at 9.30am. Just enough time to spend an hour with my favourites. 

"Where's Santi?" I ask.

"Shh, here. Don't be to loud, you'll wake him." Anna says with finger on her lips, showing me to be quiet. I get up from bed and step to the crib. Santiago Nestor is sleeping peacefully, his lips pressed together and his cheeks light pink shade. He is perfect.

"Daddy loves you!" I whisper and touch his little fingers. He suddenly opens his eyes and starts crying. 

"I'll kill you!" Anna says and wants to pick him up, but I do that insread of her. Santiago stops crying and shows the biggest smile I have ever seen.

After an hour of cuddling and kissing and singing and crying, I realize it's time to go.

When I arrive to paddock, journalist are already waiting for me. "Fernando, you are alone on the racing Saturday for the first time in last few races, where is Anna?" someone asks.

"Well, she feels tired, being here with me everyday and she stayed at home today. She's coming to the race tomorrow, don't worry!"

I answer some more questions about what to expect from Ferrari today and then I finally enter the garage. Few of the mechanics close the garage door, and when we are totally closed and isolated, everybody screams:"Congratulations daddy!"

I look at the with shock in my eyes, I did not expect this to happen. They are holding a small bag. Luca congratulates me and lands me the bag. It's small Ferrari baby suit with Daddy 14 written on the back.

"Thank you guys! And now, let's get back to work. We have a qualy to win for someone!"

Anna's POV

"This is amazing what Ferrari is showing today. Fernando Alonso with the best time in Q1 and Q2 and Kimi Raikkonen with second time and now, with just a minute left of Q3, both of Ferrari's are on the top." the reporter is euphoric and I'm so proud of Fer.

"Fernando Alonso takes pole position in his Monza, first pole for him after twentyfive months!"

"Look, it's daddy!" I whisper into Nestor's cute little ear. He is so calm in my embrace, watching daddy race on TV. I am so lucky to have two of them in my life.
