Raven teleported her and Peter back to his hotel room that he was staying in while they stayed in Germany. Peter fell onto his bed and Raven just stared before grabbing a cup of water. When she came back into the room she sat down next to him.

"You did good today." She complimented before taking a sip of water. Peter smiled faintly.

"Thanks. So did you." Raven scoffed.

"I froze up and watched as you guys fought." She looked into her water cup. "I totally sucked today." Peter wrapped an arm around her which caused her to tense up. She didn't do so great with physical contact.

"You did your best. There's been days that I've frozen up too." Raven laughed a little.

"You've been a hero for like six months." She remarked.

"But still." She smiled into the cup before looking over at him.

"Thanks." She whispered. Peter gave her a side hug.

"No problem, that's what friends are for." Raven stared off into nothingness, her smile fading.

"I wouldn't know." Peter's eyes widened a little. "Everyone that's gotten to know me thinks I'm a freak. They run away from me screaming and crying." Raven shrugged. "I do have one friend. His name's Wade but he's more of a big brother. He understands what it's like to be different. . . to be a mutant."

"You must have it so rough." Peter absentmindedly stated. Raven looked at him before shrugging. "Everyone hating you and running away from you."

"You get used to it, I guess." Peter watched as she took another sip of water.

"No you don't." She smiled a little.

"No. You don't." Raven repeated. "How much do you love me?" Peter's face flushed as he was taken aback from the question.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, how much do you love me?" She repeated.

"Well, considering that I've only known you for four days and I already have a tiny crush on you. . ." Peter shrugged. "I dunno. A lot I guess. You still are my friend." Raven smiled but it didn't look that happy. She closed her eyes and sighed.

"I love you too." She whispered though Peter could barely hear her.

"I'm sorry, what did you say? I couldn't hear you." Raven opened her eyes and stared at the wall. There were tears forming in her eyes. She took in a shaky breath before repeating herself.

"What I said was, I love you too." Peter smiled so brightly it could've blinded someone. He was already bouncing up and down and dancing in his seat. But he paused and looked over at Raven. The teen boy was confused as to why she looked so upset.

"Then why don't you look happy?" He asked. Raven looked into her cup.

"Because. . . I can't do this. Not with everything that's going on. Not with everything that I'm capable of doing." Raven got up and walked back into the kitchen. She set the cup on the counter and walked back into the room. "Grab your things." She ordered.

"Why?" Peter asked, looking at her in confusion.

"Just do it please." A stray tear fell down her cheek. Raven used the back of her hand to wipe it away. Peter grabbed all of his belongings before walking over to Raven who was standing in the middle of the room. Raven held his hand and teleported the two of them back into Peter's bedroom in Queens.

"Why are we back here?" Peter asked, looking around his small room. Raven took in a deep breath.

"I'm sorry Peter, but I'm not going to be able to do this. I'm gonna end up hurting you and you seem like a good guy, I don't wanna hurt you." More tears started slipping down her cheeks.

"What are you talking about?" Peter asked, growing more and more confused. Raven started shaking.

"You're not going to remember anything I'm saying and that's why I'm saying it. I love you Peter and that's more than I can say about a lot of things since I've learned not to grow attached. I've grown to not feel positive emotions a lot so all of this is new. But since you've captured my heart within four days of me knowing you that makes you different. And though I am, I hate different." She took in another shaky breath. "I don't want to hurt your feelings Pete, and I want you to know that I love you with all my heart but I can't. I just. . . I can't do relationships." Raven walked up to Peter and gave him an breathtaking kiss before putting her hands on his temples and breaking away. There was a purple light that came from her hands and when the two opened their eyes, Peter looked at her in confusion.

"Who are you?" He asked her. Raven took a step back, blinking away a few tears. Peter looked down and almost screamed. "And why am I wearing this in front of you?!" Raven wiped some of the tears out of her eyes.

"I love you." She whispered before teleporting out of the room. Peter looked around in confusion. The last thing he remembered was going back to the hotel after fighting Captain America. Who was the girl? And how in the world did she teleport out of his room? Heck, why was he in his room when he was in Germany.

Raven was rocking back and forth on her bed in the Avengers Headquarters. She was shaking from crying and there were still tears streaming down her face, her eyeliner smeared. Her thumb kept running over Peter's name in her phone. It upset her to delete it but she knew she had to. She couldn't hold onto him forever.

Instead of just sitting there on her bed, Raven decided to call her dad. She listened to the phone ring before it picked up. Tony seemed to be in the middle of fighting someone when he answered from the sound of metal clashing.

"Yeah sweetie?" He asked when the phone picked up.

"I-I-I dropped him off at home and I. . . and I erased his memory of me but I left in everything that he just did." She sobbed into the phone. Tony seemed to stop and take a blow because of it.

"You erased Spidey's mind of you?" He repeated. "Why?"

"Because I didn't w-want to hurt him." Raven sniffled.

"Raven, you have to stop thinking of yourself so poorly."

"I can't have a relationship with him dad. Or with anyone. I'm-I'm-I'm a freak dad! He deserves someone better!" Raven could hear Tony's suit firing and then metal on metal.

"You are better!" Tony argued.

"No, I'm not!" Raven sobbed even harder. "The last thing Peter should remember is going back to the hotel." Tony sighed.

"I suppose that means you wanna switch schools again?"

"No!" Raven was quick to respond. "No, please. I don't wanna switch again."

"You're not going to torture yourself with staying in the same school." Tony ordered.

"Doesn't matter. I don't wanna switch schools for a fourth time. I hate being the new girl. Plus I still wanna be friends with Ned." Raven rambled.

"But he's friends with Peter." Tony brought up. "How are you going to do that?"

"I dunno." She whispered into the phone. "I just. . . In case I change my mind I can bring back his memories." Not that she could see, but Tony was smiling. He was proud of his little girl for acting so grown up that for a second he forgot he was fighting Barnes and Steve.

"Shit." Tony cursed. "Baby, I gotta go. I'll tell you more about it when I get home. Go visit Wade for right now. He'll comfort you."

"Okay." Raven hung up the phone before calling Wade.

"Hey pretty lady, whatcha need?" Wade asked as the phone picked up. Raven smiled faintly.

"Your arms holding on to me, a hot cup of tea, and a shoulder to cry on." She answered without skipping a beat.

"Ooh, that bad, huh? Alright. I'll meet you in about an hour with everything you need and everything you'll want."
