The two of us got into his truck, letting some classic rock play on the radio at a low volume as he drove to the shop. The two of us were both bothered, but I knew for a fact that my dad would get over his problem very soon. Me, on the other hand....

I yawned loudly, watching a few cars speed by through the fogged-up window. I blinked and regained my focus, putting it back on my dad. "Okay, let me make sure I understood correctly. If I'm in charge of the shop, I can play any music I feel is suitable as long as it won't disturb the customers?" He nodded, his fluffy (h/c) hair bouncing. I continued, "I can also have access to the garage to actually fix cars and do paint jobs and stuff, too, right?" He nodded yet again. A smile was on his face, slightly tan from the many days of work outside. I leaned back in my seat and smiled.

At the moment, I'm trying and failing to remain content with the current situation.

Jughead....

I have no clue as to why, but my slight simper faltered as his name ran through my head. The way he's been lately is truly looming over my shoulder and it won't be leaving anytime soon if things keep up at this rate.

I'm getting sick and tired of it. It's times like these where I wish that he wasn't so reserved.

Then again, I can't really say anything; I'm just as reserved as him, after all.

The fifteen minute drive seemed to take forever, but by observation of the streets, we had only driven a few blocks away. With the establishment being within walking distance, I could go there during the week that my dad'll be gone to run the shop.

Upon entering, I noticed that it looked somewhat old-fashioned. It looked fascinating and held an air that mimicked Riverdale's overall mood, though it was just slightly more upbeat due to the bright color palette.

(Here is the shop! I tried to find as many pictures that fit that vintage-50s-like vibe, so if any of these don't match that, please respectfully tell me in the comments. There wasn't much that I could find that wasn't in black and white, sadly. Anyway, here is the waiting room:
