The masters of Fairy Tail and Sabertooth, Sting and Makarov, had both decided to give their guilds a day off and go to the beach. Freed Justine was enjoying himself. He sat on a beach towel reading his book, while glancing up from time to time to watch the antics of his guildmates and Sabertooth.

"Freed Justine?"

Looked up at the one who'd spoken his name. It was Rufus Lore.

"Yes, and I do believe you're Rufus Lore."

"Indeed."

It was odd to see the man without his hat or coat, replaced be a red and gold pair of bathers, yet he still wore that mask.

"I must say I'm honoured to meet you Mr Justine. Before you disappeared I was quite the fan."

"I'm flattered me, and please call me Freed."

"Freed it is then. Mind if I sit?" Rufus asked.

"Of course."

Rufus gracefully sat down next to Freed. Freed saw Rufus' eyes travel up his revealed body, but decided not to think anything of it.

"I must say Freed, looking at you is like looking at a beautiful statue."

Okay, wrong decision, should've thought more of the look.

"Honestly, I swear you're made of porcelain."

"I look delicate?"

"No! No, far from it. I'm certain you could crush any opponent you face. You are simply too perfect to be real."

Freed knew Rufus was flirting with him, and he had to stop it before Laxus saw. His boyfriend would not let Rufus walk away from this unharmed. If he didn't kill him that is.

"Rufus, you are very charming, but-"

"He's taken."

Oh no.

The two men looked up to see none other then Laxus Dreyar glaring down at the memory Mage. Rufus gulped realising how likely being struck by lightning was at the moment.

"O-oh, I'm sorry. I was not aware. If I had known I never would've-"

"You better stop talking Lore, or else-"

"Laxus! I'm so sorry Rufus. As nice as you are I'm already with Laxus, but perhaps you'd be interested being friends instead?"

Rufus smiled and reached out his hand.

"Of course, I'd be honoured."

Freed took Rufus' hand and shook. Laxus let out a growl.

"I think it's best if I leave now," Rufus said, standing up.

"Again, I do apologise. Till we meet again."

He walked away with a wave. Freed let out a sigh of relief and looked back up at Laxus who was still glaring at Rufus.

"Laxus, hurt him and you'll be sleeping on the coach."

Laxus let a a dissatisfied grunt, but turned away from Rufus.

"Great, another person to keep an eye on."

"Laxus you have an eye on everyone."

"I don't, just those who might try to steal you from me."

"Natsu asked me to fight and you struck him with lightning."

"That fight me crap was just to disguise his true intentions."

"Cana touched my shoulder."

"She would've touched a lot more if I hadn't stopped her."

"Max literally stood next to me."

"He had a broom. That never ends well."

Freed sighed and shook his head. A fond smile spread over his lips.

"You're lucky I love you, you possessive lightning rod."

"I love you too."
