As Janelle walks back in the studio, she tells us to gather around. We walk up to her and she smiles.
"Alright everyone. This piece I'm about to teach you, I really want you to put emotion in it and a lot of feeling. I notice in the other class some of you guys were in your comfort zone. I really need you guys to put your all in this one. Who ever shows me there best and gives me there all in this choreo gets to do a big dance shoot with me. " she says and everyone starts to cheer and scream. I close my ears and giggle at the impact of noise by everyone. Janelle laughs and claps her hands.
"Alright let's get started! Everyone spread out and fill every space in the room"
Half an Hour later....
This piece she is teaching us is contemporary. Now it's not my best style but I really enjoy doing it. It's different from what I do and of course, I like different. As I struggle to do a move I huff and wipe the sweat off my forehead. Sean looks at me and walks over
"Hey you ok?"
"Ya it's just I don't know how to do this move" I say then attempt to do it again but fail. He laughs at me and shakes his head. He goes behind me and wraps his arms around my arms. I could feel him breathing on my neck. Uh he feels so warm I could just hug him.
"Well first your doing it wrong. Your arm should move like this, then do this" he says and moves my arms the right way. He then moves away from me and I do the whole move again. He smiles nodding and I smile feeling satisfied and proud that I finally did it right.
"Thanks Sean" I say and he winks at me then walks away to his friends. I stare at him as he talks with his friends and laughs. As he laughs his dimples show and he looks down. Ugh how can someone be so adorable.
"It's just his dimples that make him adorable. Other then that he's so annoying" Someone says and I turn around. A girl with tan skin and black long hair says to me. I look at her slightly smiling not knowing what to say. But wait, did I say what I just said out loud?
"Yes, yes you did" She says and laughs. Ugh I really need to stop thinking out loud. I just look down awkwardly and scratch my neck.
"Oh I'm so sorry. I didn't introduce myself. I'm Natalie but call me Nat" she says and smiles. I smile back.
"I'm Maya"
"Your Sean's new friend right" she asks and I nod
"Ya, I'm his roommate. I'm new to this school"
"Well welcome and I hope we can become great friends" she says and I nod while smiling. She is so nice omg
"Of course we can" I say to her and we exchange phone numbers then she walks off. Janelle then talks up and says we are gonna start shooting. She tells us to get back in places and she'll pick who she wants in the video.
"As you guys dance I will tap some shoulders. If I tap your shoulder that means I want you in the video. So first I'm doing solos." She says and starts the music. As well all dance, she walks around. As she gets to me she smiles and taps my shoulders. I smile at her and continue to dance.
As we finish. I sit down down and noticed I'm the only soloist. Well besides her.
"Ok now I'm picking duos." She says and everyone does the dance again. she picks Sean and some girl with brown hair. I've seen her dance before. She's really good. I wish I can dance with Sean instead of having a solo. Maya!! You can't fall for Sean. Remember your dads rule. You don't wanna get pulled out of the school. I shake the thought out my head and watch as she picks groups and stuff.
When she's done she puts us in order and then we begin.

Of course Janelle goes first and honestly does amazing. She is such an amazing dancer.
Then it's me. I get up and stand front and centre. I do the dance and give it my all. I use the right facial expressions and hit the right moves. I'm really feeling this dance. I letting off steam and stress I didn't know I had.
As I finish I walk away slowly and everyone cheers. I smile and wipe the sweat off my face. Sean walks up to me and hugs me. I hug back and then he pulls away
"Maya. That. Was amazing" he says speechlessly. I blush and look down
"Thank you"
"I never knew you had all that in you. You did that piece beautifully" he says and I blush again. As I was about to talk, the brown headed girl walked over. She hugs Sean with joy swinging him from side to side
"Seany! We are gonna be amazing like always" She says giggling. She clearly doesn't see me standing here. I don't like how she is so close to Sean. She then let's go of him and looks at me. She smiles and I put a fake smile on my face
"Hi I'm Kaycee" she says and puts her hands out to hug. Maya it would be rude if you don't hug back. I awkwardly hug her back then let go
"The names Maya Love" I say
"Ooo I love your name. It's so unique" she says. I could tell she's probably a weirdo.
"Alright Kaycee! Sean! It's your turn" Janelle says and she waves at me. Sean winks and walks away. I stand beside Janelle and she side hugs me. I smile at her and then she turns on the music. I watch them dance and what can I say. They dance so good together.
