Chap 15

Sean POV

It was now morning and we had English then a class with Janelle. I really needed to talk to Maya and apologize. Hopefully she will accept it and maybe we will be cool enough to get back to how we were.

As I was at my locker getting my note books, I feel someone wrap there arms around me and give me a kiss on the cheek. I turn around and see Kaycee. I completely forgot about her. Forgot I was dating her to be honest.

"Hey Sean. What's going on? You seem kinda distant lately" She says and pulls away. She stands in front of me with a worried look. Even though I don't like her as a girlfriend, I love how she's still caring as my best friend

"Oh nothing. Just been busy. I'm sorry, I'm ok now" I say and she smiles. We hug and she pecks my lips. As we pull away. I look behind Kaycee and see Maya. She slightly smiles and walks away. Wow way to go Sean. Messed up again.

The bell rings and I grab my stuff, I close my locker

"I'll see you in Janelle's class" I sigh and kiss her cheek. She nods and walks away. I walk to English class. In that class I have Maya, Lark, Josh, and Julian.

As I walk into class, the first face I see is of course. Maya. She's laughing and talking to Lark and this girl with black long hair. She looks at me and smiles. I smile back and sit down with Josh and Julian.

When I sit down I look at her and sigh.

"Woah dude. Your like whipped for this girl" Julian said and Josh laughs

" No I'm not" I say and continue to look at her

"Yes you are" Josh says and snaps his fingers in my face making me turn to him

"Are you gonna go talk to her today?"Julian

"Yup. Right after Janelle's class" I said. Then our teacher walks in and class starts.

Bell rings

It was now time for Janelle's class. We walked in to her class and got ready. As I stood beside the guys Maya walks up to me

"Hey Sean. Uh, you forgot your book in class" She says with a cute smile on her face and hands me my notebook. I smile back at her and give her a hug. She seemed taken back but then hugged me back tightly.

"Thank you" I whisper to her and she giggles a little and whispers back

"Your welcome" she whispers. We pull away and she was about to leave but I pull her back a bit

"Maya I need to talk to you. Can you meet me at the front at Lunch. We can maybe go get lunch together" I say and she bites her lip. She does that when she's thinking

"Sure" She says and I nod. She walks away to her friends and I keep a smile on my face

"Aww look at Seany blushin" Gabe says in a baby voice. The guys laugh and I take a seat on the floor next to them

"Look guys. I'm gonna be serious when I tell you this. Shut the fuck up" I say and we laugh.

"Ok chill guys. Dude you really like her" Will ask

"Yes I do. Haven't we already established that"

"Well you need to break up with Kaycee before you talk to Maya" Will says. I look towards Kaycee seeing her chat with Maya and Bailey. Will is right. I do need to break up with Kaycee if I wanna be with Maya. I'll do it right now.

"Ok I'll do it right now"

"Now?!" They all ask at once

"You can't do it now. It'll break her" Gabe says

"I'm sure she'll be fine" I get up and walk over to her. She she's me and instantly smiles.

"Kaycee. I need to talk to you" I say. Bailey and Maya look at each other then walk away. I take a deep breath in and sigh.

"Look Kaycee. Your my best friend and I love you. But, I don't love you like a girlfriend...." I say and she just looks at me. She smiles and gives me a hug.

"It's ok Sean. I understand. Kinda sad but I'll obviously get over it" She says and I smile. She's smiles back and I pull her into a hug.

"Your still my bestie you know that" I say to her and she nods. We pull away and I walk over to Maya. She's standing with Lark and Nat

"I just broke up with Kaycee" I whisper to her and she freezes

"Oh really. Why?" She asked. I smile and wink at her.

"I'll tell you at Lunch" I say then walk away. I smile at the boys and the nod at me.

"Alright class is starting" Janelle says.

Skip to Lunch

I put my stuff in my locker and say bye to everyone because I'm gonna go meet her at the front. I'm kinda nervous tbh. I walk out of the school and see her there waiting causally. I jump up behind her and she jumps. I laugh and she hits my arm.

"Ugh. Sean you scared me" she crosses hers arms

"I'm sorry. But I'll cheer you up with food" she smiles and we head to my car. We get in and I drive to In and Out Burger. We walk in and she decides to order and I look for seats. I find a booth beside a window and sit down.

Ok Sean. When she gets back your just gonna have to go straight to the topic and tell her how you feel. But what if she doesn't like me back. She has been seeing someone lately. Do you really think she would drop that person for me?

As I'm think someone snaps there finger in my face. I look up and Maya is siting there with our food on trays, trying to get my attention.

"What are you thinking about?" She giggles and dips her fries in kitchen then putting it in her mouth

"You" I say and she stops chewing.

"What about me...."She says slowly

"Maya" I hold her hand and look into her eyes

"I'm so sorry. I'm sorry for hurting you and not taking your feelings into consideration. I broke up with Kaycee because I don't have feelings for her. I have feelings for you, and I really like you" She looks down, and I could her smile hard.

"Sean" she looks up at me and squeezes my hand

"I accept your apology. All I wanted to hear you say was sorry" She smiled at me. And I smiled back. I take a bite of my burger and she finishes her fries

"And I know it's really early. Because I just got out of an relationship. But I was wondering if we could go back to the way we were" She sits there and sips on her drink.

"I'll think about it"
