Chapter 5

Mackenzie's P.O.V
I was up all night thinking about the kiss. I was shocked, confused, suprised. Ugh I don't even know. I hope he liked the kiss. I mean I did. But it was his first. Oh god. I was his first kiss. It was just starting to kick in. Oh goddddd. I hope I didn't ruin it for him.
The week went on and Collin acted like it never happend. He asked me on another date on Friday night. We where going to a hibachi grill. I loved those! I was so excited.
Collins P.O.V
It's Friday night and I was about to pick Mackenzie up for our second date. We have been dating for about a week and I really wanted her to be my girlfriend. And tonight I was going to ask. I knock on her door, nervous about who was going to answer. I am faced with her brother. Either Andrew or Aidan I can't tell the difference. He looks at me and says "may I help you?" I tried not to stutter but I was nervous, I wanted her brothers to like me since she didn't have parents. "I um I am picking uh Mackenzie up for our uh date" he chuckles "have you ever been on a date before Mackenzie?" "No... I haven't" just then Mackenzie comes down looking as stunning as ever. Her brother looks impressed. "well you look nice" he says, she gives him a look "whatever, we are going, bye" her brother laughs and walks away.
We are at the restraunt when I decide to ask her now. "Mackenzie...?" She looks nervouse when she looks at me "yeah?" How do I do this "Uh I have never done this before but..." "but..?" Ok I'm going for it. "Will you be my girlfriend?" She looks surprised and then slowly nods her head "I would love to" I smile at her, and she returnes it, it looks like a real smile to. I grab her hand and rub my thumb up and down on her wrist with the cuts, I don't know why I do this, it just makes me feel safe, with her. Know that she is alive and I'm not dreaming.
Mackenzie's P.O.V
I'm at my locker when I feel a strong pair of arms wrap around me and a chin on my shoulder. "Hey beutiful" I Blush at his words "people are going to know if you do that" "what if I want people to know" I Blush again at his words. I see that a lot of people are staring and I suddenly feel self conscience. I look away and back into my locker "hey, look at me" he puts two fingers under my chin and pulls my head up to his "dont let them get to you. It shouldn't matter what they think because they all can suck it" I laugh at that "thanks" he pulls me into a quick kiss and walks away as the bell rings leaving tingles on my lips. I walk to class with a smile on my face, I notice there is a sub who is on their phone clearly not caring about us. I sit down about to take out my phone when a girls interupts that. "Umm is this seat taken?" She point to the seat next to me, looking scared "no, go ahead" she smiles and I return it. I decide I need friends for a change so I look at her as she looks Around the class. Maybe she is new. I reach my hand out and introduce myself "hi, I'm Mackenzie, my friends call me kenzie." She looks suprised for a second but takes my hand and shakes it "I'm Chloe. I just moved here from Tennessee and I don't really know anyone yet." "Well now you know me"
We get talking and I ask her about her relationship at back at Tennessee "I had a boyfriend but when he heard I was moving he broke up with me and said it wouldn't work for him" I felt bad for her "aww that's so sad! Any guys you find attractive at this school?" She looks scared but answers anyway "well I heard about this guy named Collin, he is really hot, I heard he just got his first girlfriend tho and apparently she is super pretty. I'm so jelouse of her! Like I mean Collin is soooo good looking!" I just start laughing and she gives me a weird look. "Chloe, thats my boyfriend" "OMG OMG OMG IM SO SORRY IF I HAD KNOWN I WOULD OF NEVER SAID THAT OMG I AM THE WORST FRIEND EVER OMG" I laugh at her "it's totally fine, really." She smiles at me. And I smile back, a real one.
