Betrayal Pt 2: Fall and Rise

Another storm brewed in the sky of Shinjuku. Lector and Thunder watched the traffic down below from one of the tall buildings.

"Hey." Thunder looked at Lector coolly..

"Yeah?" Lector answered back.

"You ever wonder why we're here?"

Lector thought for a minute.

"It's one of life's great mysteries isn't it? Why are we here? I mean, are we the product of some cosmic coincidence, or is there really a God watching everything? You know, with a plan for us and stuff. I don't know, man, but it keeps me up at night."

Both stared at each awkwardly and in silence.

"...What?! I mean why are we out here, in the middle of this city?"

"Oh. Uh... yeah." Lector scooted away from his older brother awkwardly. Thunder looked at the younger man with concern.

"What was all that stuff about God?"

"Uh...hm? Nothing." Lector scratched the back of his head.

Another wave of silence hit the two. Even their two Digimon looked uncomfortable.

"You wanna talk about it?"

"Nope."

They jumped when a portal opened up behind them. They watched closely as a figure walked out.

"So you're the spy.....interesting..." Lector licked his lips.

"I'd watch where you look you Aussie Bastard." The person walked towards the two men.

"I'd watch you're tongue brother, we got ourselves a wild sheila here." Thunder snickered.

Lector just glared at him,"Whatevah. So what's the plan....boss." He made a disgusting noise when he said boss.

"Lure the Tamers to both Kalem and I; we'll take care of the rest."

"And what is the plan; may we ask?"

Their spy grinned and held up a floppy disk.

"This is a gate disk, only two exist currently."

"So what are we going to do with it?" Lector took it from them and examined it. They took it back and walked away.

"It's for one big portal that will lead our armies here."

Lector just glared,"Fine, we'll lure the tamers to your location."

"Perfect."

Takato looked at his friends with tired eyes. Rika leaned against the wall of the new Hypnos building. Henry leaned over the compromised computer.

"Where's Yamaki? He called us all here right?" Rika looked at him and nodded in agreement.

Takato looked at the other tamers who were here,"Yeah...in fact where's Riley and Tally? It was Riley who told us to come in a hurry."

"Well I'm going to work on this, but it seems we may have a problem." Henry told them all.

"And what's that?" Kazu asked.

"We have trouble on the beach, Two mega level Digimon have just appeared....alongside a very strange power fluctuation...scratch that two power fluctuation!"

"Then let's go!" Yuki got up. Kazu was at her heels,"Yeah let's go kick some ass!" Kenta face palmed and walked out with them.

Takato looked at Rika and nodded,"Let's go!" She smiled and nodded.
