PART I
(third person pov)
It was another mundane day as she stared wistfully out the window, looking out to the great beyond. Before noticing the group of boys that was entering the school. A soft smile forming on her lips as she caught sight of the raven haired boy.
" How was the match!" She had asked, eyes gleaming with joy.
" It was alright, i guess." He muttered out, barely acknowledging the girl's presence.
" Ahh.. alright!" She said, lips forming a thin line to show her approval. Her eyes dropping to her clean white shoes as she thought of something to say.
" Anooo... your birthday is coming up right?" She questioned, although she already knew the answer. He gave her a indifferent nod, uninvolved with her words. Taking this as a sign to leave, the emotionless boy walked off, swinging his bag.
They were supposed to be dating, but the boy was often apathetic about his surroundings. But that didn't matter to her, as long as she could see the boy smile, she was satisfied.
Many of her friends advised her to choose someone else, as they were worlds apart. She was a gentle, kind and concerning friend and he was a cold, emotionless, angsty teen.
" Ah? But thats all the reasons why i love him!" She would always reply, beaming with bliss.
But in the depths of his heart, he knew she was everything he didn't deserve. She was the person that had brought the light to his dark world, the one who was willing to step in and understand him, the one who loved with all her heart. He was beyond ecstatic when he heard the confession flow from the pink tinted lips, and all he wanted to do was to kiss the petite girl.
To him, she was ethereal, but he didn't know how to cherish her, how to show her that he cared, and he found comfort in knowing that it was okay. Because she accepted him as he was, an awkward mess.
-
Searching around for the tall male, hands gripping tightly around a grey coloured box, eager to see the boy's reaction. Spotting kageyama walking towards his locker, she ran up towards him.
" Ah Kageyama-kun!" The small girl squealed out, capturing the taller boy's attention.
" Happy birthday!" She yelled, an obvious red forming on her bubbly cheeks.
" Anooo... this is for you!" She pushed a box against his chest, smiling from ear to ear.
"Oh... you didn't have to.." the shy boy commented, pulling the ribbon off to expose a beautiful sliver promise ring.
" I have one too! See!" She giggled, putting her hand next to his.
As he looked at the beautiful, pristine ring, he couldn't contain the smile that was forming.
" Thank you... i love it." He said before looking away to cover his pink tainted cheeks.
-
" Let's walk back together?" She requested, elated to see the boy yet again.
" Sure." The raven haired boy walking forward, leaving her in his tracks. Rushing faster to keep up with the faster male, she took his larger hands in his, comforted by the warmth. Seeing the blush that creeped onto his face as he looked away. The smile on her face growing wider, seeing the shy boy gently grinning.
" Ah! I'll see you tomorrow then!" She chirped out, separating her hands from the boy.
" Uh.. yea stay safe." He mumbled incoherently.
" What?" The girl let out a chortle, giggling at the boy's shyness.
" Stay safe..." He repeated, making it audible for her. As her eyes formed thin lines, overjoyed at the words of affection from the emotionless male.
" You too!" Earning a small smile from kageyama, she began her walk back home. She walked up the familiar hill that led to her humble abode, heart palpitating as she remembered the words of the bashful boy.
Suddenly feeling a strong impact, as she was forcefully lifted off the ground, hearing the breaking bones all over her body, before landing on the cold concrete road.
He walked on, recollecting the memories of what had happened. It was an uneventful day, as he looked at the sliver ring attached to his ring finger, glistening in the light from the stars, he felt lucky. To have met such a wonderful girl.
He was about to start walking off, till he heard the sounds of a collision. He wanted to shrug it off, but he felt anxious, unaware of what had happened. His legs went auto pilot as he walked to the source of the massive crash.
