You were head over heels, absolutely in love with your boyfriend.
He had confessed to you in the sweetest way possible, and you couldn't reject him;

"(y/n), you are the most beautiful person i've seen, you make my heartbeat so quick that i feel like its going to burst out my chest , please give me the chance to show you how amazing you are." Tsukishima says, holding out a rose for you.

How could you be so lucky, to be with him.
He showers you with kisses when you're sad, hugs you endlessly when you're happy. What else could you wish for?

It was going to be a month since you guys got together soon and even though you weren't the romantic or cheesy type, you still wanted to do something special for Tsukishima.
"Hm... I should get him roses!" Even though roses were usually given from the male to the female, you weren't exactly a fan of societal normalities so you decided on getting him a rose, just like the time when he confessed.

The day had arrived, and saying that you were excited was an understatement. he had came over to walk with you to school, just like he would everyday.
" Hey love!" You couldn't contain yourself, and smothered your love all over him.
" Hey baby.." He cooed, weren't you just the luckiest girl in the world?
" By the way, I know that we were supposed to go out today, but sensei wanted to have extra lessons so I can't make it, I'm so sorry baby." He frowned, making the cutest face ever. You felt a tug at your heartstrings but you understood that it was more important for him to study. " It's alright! I understand." You gave him a small smile as you separated ways to go to class.

" Did he forget what day it was?"
" Does he not bother?"
You shook the reoccurring thoughts out of your mind. You decided to surprise him with the rose at his house, it was the least you could do for all he had done for you.

You took steady steps to his apartment, where he lived with his parents. You were overwhelmed with joy when you imagined his reaction. You saw that the door was opened and you decided to let yourself in,
" he wouldn't mind," you told yourself as you walked in. You heard the bed creak and subconsciously took quicker steps.
" I have to trust him, I have to trust hi-"

You felt yourself falling off cloud nine, as you stared at the couple who looked like robbers caught red-handed. You couldn't piece together your words as tears welled in your eyes.

You were torn to pieces, it was as if you heard your heart breaking. And the only thing you could think was,
" why?" you dropped the rose, and ran out. Sounds of him shouting your name faded away.
"Why? Why why why?!" The tears blurred your vision but you could envision the previous scene vividly in your head.
" Why?!" You fell. Just as hard as you did when you met him. But this time, it wasn't the same. This time you realised
roses have thorns too.
