"Hey, what the fuck?"  The kid said to me.  My face went paler than a tomato - wait, tomatoes aren't pale.  I don't know, my brain is too petrified to think straight right now.

My face went paler than a sheet of paper and my conscious actually exploded with screams of how bad this was.  School bullies and magic kid do not mix!

"S-sorry!  That's my brother he's new here he doesn't quite know everything yet just ignore him he didn't mean anything come on Gerard let's get out of their way."  Mikey said hurriedly.

He grabbed my arm and began to pull me, when one of the kids blocked our path. Mikey gulped.  "Way...and Way? Ha, that's hilarious."  He said. Mikey laughed nervously while I tried to hide behind him like I did back in the office, "Y-yeah, it is."

"You say he's new here?  Doesn't know everything yet?"  Another one of the kids questioned.  He was the one I bumped into, and who I'm assuming is the leader.  What did Mikey call him again?  Birtha - no, wait, that's a girl's name - Bert Something, I think.

"Yeah, d-doesn't know everything yet.  H-he really d-didn't mean to bump into you!"  Mikey tried explaining, but his stuttering voice cracked and I could tell we were in some deep shit right now.  "Well, why don't we help out?  We can teach him everything he needs to know."  Bert smiled this big, toothy grin, but it wasn't kind, context clues showed that much.

Mikey gulped again.  "N-no, really, you don't have to go to the trouble-" "Oh, it's no trouble at all.  Right guys?"  Bert cut him off.

"Yeah, we'd be happy to help.  In fact, why don't we start with teaching him who's boss?"

"No, he already knows that-"

"Then he wouldn't have gotten in our way."

"It was an accident, it won't happen again!"

"Still, he needs to be taught a lesson."

Before anything else could be said, a punch was thrown at me.  It took everything I had to stop my reflexes from blasting them away and creating a protective shield around my brother and I.  I can't use magic here, I can't.  I need to remember that, no one can know what I can do.  The punch lined up perfectly with my cheekbone and my face got smashed to the side.  It hurt like hell, but I knew I couldn't do anything.  If I did, something would happen.  I would trigger one of my powers, I just know I will.  I can't risk that.

Another one of the kids shoved me into a locker and I was about to be punched again when a teacher came walking over to us.  "Hey!  You kids get to class!"  She said.  It was only then that I realized the hallways were emptying out.  I heard her high heels clacking on the tiled floor as she walked away.  Did she really not see what was going on?  Just a simple 'get to class'?  Did she not even hear it when my body hit the metal locker, ringing out into the emptying hallways?

Well, either way she got the group of bullies to back off so I won't complain.  "I'll see you two around, this isn't done."  Bert said before him and his friends started trudging down the halls.

Mikey ran over to where I was slumped against the wall.  "You okay?"  He asked worriedly, offering his hand to help me up.  I gladly took it, but had to get back on the ground immediately anyways to get my things, which got scattered all over the dirty floors.
