"Was Azeroth responsible?" I asked. "You know, for the Island Slaughter?"

There was a cynical laugh that echoed out through the cold darkness. "You've called it that before, yes? That's what there calling it. I remember."

"Well, then what would you call it then?"

"Me?" There was a tinge of pain in his voice. "I would call it...The Blood Festival. What would you call your event?"

"Azeroth called it the Money Massacre," I replied.

"The Money Massacre?" The voice repeated the words slowly. "That's...strange. But no, Azeroth may have planned out the blood festival, but he wasn't the one responsible. He has a boss.

"Anyways, for tonight, I'll give you another piece of advice," he told me. "Firstly, you have to get off that boat before they can kill you. Whether it's alive or dead, it doesn't matter, just as long as they don't get you."

"...Even if I die?" A chill ran down my spine as I paused. "I can't. I have people I need to protect. Their lives come first."

"People you need to protect?" The voice sounded cold, and somewhat sad. "To protect... Fine. Then protect them with your life, because trust me, I tried."

"You...tried?"

"It...doesn't matter," the voice replied. "Just be careful, okay? Because trust me when I say that they're anything but human."

Day 2

"Wake up," someone gently began shaking me. "Amir, come on, wake up."

I grunted. "Leave me alone, Rima."

"Rima?" The person laughed. "I'm not Rima!"

Those words snapped me awake, and I turned to see Lucas's smiling face. I sighed in relief. I had just fallen asleep in his room, that's all.

"What time is it?" I asked before sitting up and rubbing my eyes. They started to sting. Luckily, the room was fairly dark.

"9:49," Lucas replied. "The intercom came on a few minutes ago, but you were sleep through it. Azeroth wants us to meet in the computer room."

"Computer room?" I asked. "Why?"

Lucas shrugged. "Who knows? Come on!"

I nodded and quickly got dressed before we headed out through the hallways. Luckily, Lucas had his own mini map, so we were there in a matter of seconds. Azeroth and Azrael, along with everyone else.

Azeroth grinned at us before taking out a little box. "Here we go!" He sung.

"What are they?" Jack asked.

Azrael glared. "Chips."

Azeroth opened up the box and, sure enough, there were miniature chips.

"Put these in your collar," Azeroth said. "And you'll be able to go anywhere on the ship besides that Captain's room. But you can mess with anything or take anything, and you must be out by midnight."

Good. That should give us more than enough time to explore.

After Azrael handed us each a chip and got us situated, the two boys began leading us to lobby.

"The big map is there," Azeroth had explained. "And that's where we'll point out each place."

It seemed strange, but I complied.

But as we began nearing the lobby, I began to smell something. A foul oder that made me wrinkle my nose. It smelled disgusting.

We turned the corner, and...

Susan screamed.

"Oh my god..." Jack whispered.

"What the fu-!" I yelled.

The map...

It was covered in blood.

And it spelt out in red letter:

"Welcome to My Game"

I turned, searching for any missing player. Everyone was there, except...

Lucas's baby sister.

And it was only confirmed when Susan, the person who was suppose to be watching her, had her mouth agape, like she knew.

I then looked over to Azeroth and Azrael, who I expected to be smirking, but was surprised when they both looked equally as shocked.

"You...!" Lucas screamed from next to be. He stormed up to them. "You killed her! She was just a baby, and you murdered you! You killed a fucking child, you sick, twisted assholes!"

He went to punch Azeroth, but I trapped his fist. That's when I saw his face.

It was red, with tears streamed down his cheeks and his features twisted in pain. His eyes widened when he saw me.

And then he collapsed into my arms.

"She was only a baby," he cried, his voice muffled in my clothes. "She was only..."

Azrael gritted his teeth, and he turned. "You can go anywhere but that one room," he growled. "I'll see you later."

Azeroth took a long look at us, his expression unreadable.

"Hmm...I wonder..." he mumbled before turning around and following Azrael.

"...she was only..." Lucas was still crying. I didn't know what to do, so I just wrapped my arms around him. He hugged me tightly.

"Jack," I spoke up. Jack looked up from his journal. "I need-"

"I...know..." Jack scratched his head. "I'll wait for you. Meet me in my room at two."

I nodded before picking up Lucas and began walking toward his room.

I wasn't aware at the time, but Rima was glaring the whole time.

After a little while, Lucas's crying began to calm down.

We were in his room, on his bed, while he was crying and clinging onto me tightly. I was so awkward, just sitting there, and trying my best to comfort him, but I didn't know what to say.

"Everyone keeps leaving me," he whispered with a sniffle. "My dad, my sister, everyone."

I bit my lip.

He suddenly looked up at me. "But you haven't. You..." he got choked up in his words, but continued anyways. "Don't leave me..."

I gave him a small, reassuring smile. "Don't worry, I won't."

"Promise?"

Those words hit me hard. I was a person who never really did promises, especially ones that I couldn't keep, but his face...

It looked so sad, so full of hurt.

Shit.

"I promise."

Another tear slid down his cheek, and he then hugged me tightly.

"Thank you," he whispered.
