"You need to be quiet," Rima said while rolling his eyes. "It's already hard enough as it is to do this operation."
But our father didn't quiet down. In fact, his screams got louder as Rima dug deeper into his eyes with the spoon.
I was watching in horror the entire time, trying desperately to move anything, anything at all. I wanted to look away, but Rima made sure I was front in center, watching the whole thing go down.
I had never seen my father cry before, and that itself was shocking. His tears turned bloody the second Rima stabbed the spoon into the side of his eye and spilt down in cheeks and into his black hair.
He was a mess.
Part of me, though I would never admit it, wanted to laugh. The man had done so many horrible things to me, that it was natural that I wanted revenge. Pay back for what he did to me. To my eyes...
But the other part of me, my logical side, screamed that this was wrong. No one deserved this, even if they were crummy people. This was just pure torture.
And the worst thing was the fact that Rima began to hum.
It was a soft tune, one that no one else probably could have heard. It was so empty of emotion, and was replaced with something else. Something that wasn't human.
And I had no idea what it was.
The melody was soft, long, and haunting, but also dark. I had no idea why, but it made me uneasy.
It stood out even more than the screams.
"Wow!" Rima suddenly yelled just as the eye popped out from it's socket. "That was so easy!" His smirk was tight, and his eyes were full with mischievous glee.
"I guess it was good that I took medical school so early," he continued. "I thought that I would have to wait so long to take out your eyes, but who knew that it would happen on your cruise?!" He started snickering, before turning towards me.
"And I'm so glad you came too, Amir," he smiled darkly. "After all, aren't we two halves of the same coin?"
"I'm..." I managed to wheeze out before my voice gave out, so I simply just glared.
Rima grinned before turning back to our father and jabbing him in the other eye, which sent a piercing scream to echo throughout the room.
Since it was an execution, everyone else was held back by Azeroth and Azrael in the sidelines while it was happening, so no one could done anything as they helplessly watched as the man's eyes were gorged out. It was horrific, but memorizing. No one looked away.
And once Rima was done, he sighed, leaned back, and admired his work. After a moment, he frowned as dad continued to scream hysterically before slapping him across his blood-soaked cheeks.
"Shut up!" He yelled. "You are so goddamn annoying! Did Amir scream as much as you?! No! So shut up!"
After slapping him at least ten times during his speaking, he finally stood up and went over to me.
"It's time to finish the job. Together.
My eyes widened before I was lifted up from the chair and was taking to the slab where our father was waiting. Rima put me up into a sitting position, got behind me, and slid the scalpel into my hands before gripping mine tightly.
No no no no no no no no!
"N-no..." I choked out. I didn't want to be a murderer. "Pl..ease...Rima..."
"On the count of three," Rima said before pressing the knife lightly on dad's throat. "One..."
"Amir!" Jack yelled from the sidelines.
"Two..."
"St-stop...!"
"Three!" And as he yelled the final word, he thrusted the knife in our hand into his throat. Blood squirted out of the wound and sprayed us both everywhere. The knife slid in easily until we got to the other side, until our hands were able to touch his still moving throat.
I gagged.
It was shocking, so gross, so horrific that it was as if time stopped. I couldn't hear anything, see anything, do anything. There was only me, Rima, and the body.
Rima slid us back off the side of the slab and onto the floor, where I landed on top of him in my numb state. He smiled before stroking my hair with his blood soaked hands.
"Our first kill..." he mumbled excitedly as he dragged me up to his eye level. "I'm so happy."
"You...fucking...monster..."
Rima's face twisted into a blood curdling smile. "I guess that makes the two of us," he replied before making us kiss in the pool of our father's blood.
