Chapter 6

As they walked down the passage, the ball of light started chasing the rats away, and Rainbow Blitz said "Your bubble!" "Oh, it's always chasing those rats." Rainbow Dash said. Rainbow Blitz then found a hole in the wall, and took a peek inside it. Rainbow Dash looked inside the hole to see a burial chamber as she said "A burial chamber! This could be the tomb of the great pony king who built this castle! Before King Sombra took it over." Suddenly, the wall began to fall apart, and Rainbow Blitz fell in as he screamed, and Rainbow Dash backed away. She looked at Rainbow Blitz as she said "Are you all right?" Rainbow Blitz glared at the princess a little as she said "Well, come on, then. Help me have a look around." She looked around as Rainbow Blitz went up to the body of the fallen pony king, and said "He must have been a great pony warrior." He looked at the body more closely, and saw a faint outline of a sword in his hooves as he said "A sword!" He took the sword, and dusted it as the golden hilt shown through. He gasped at the discovery that he made. Suddenly, they heard a noise, and they hid behind a doorway, They took a peek to see Snips opening a door while one of King Sombra's pony henchmen pulling a wheelbarrow with something on it.

"This will please him!" Snips said. "Piece of good luck this time! Hurry! In with it! Finally! He'll reward me for this!" The pony henchman gasped for breath as Snips said "Don't stop you weakling! Put some muscle into it!" Once the wheelbarrow went through the door, Snips closed it with his magic. "Let's get out of here before they come back!" Rainbow Dash said. They snuck by the door, and stopped around the next corner. Suddenly, Rainbow Dash noticed the sword that Rainbow Blitz took from the dead body of the former pony king as she said "Where did you get that sword?" Rainbow Blitz pointed at the direction behind them as he said "Uh, back there." "You mean?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Well, he's not going to use it!" Rainbow Dash gasped in shock, but before she could say anything, they heard a dog barking above them, and a voice said "You're making a horrendous mistake! I'm not a spy! I'm a bard! I sing! Uh, I entertain! Oh, careful sir, these are the hooves of an artist!" Rainbow Blitz and Rainbow Dash went up the stairs, and looked through the door to see a pony guard putting a donkey named Cranky Doodle Donkey in chains. "This'll hold you!" The pony guard said.

"Now, look, you seem an intelligent sort of chap to me!" Cranky Doodle said. The pony guard looked at the donkey bard as if he's saying that he knows that. "I assure you I had no idea who owned this castle!" Cranky Doodle said. "I just happened to be passing!" He looked at the dog who was barking at him as he said "Oh, he's nice. What's his name?" He whistled at the dog who tried to bite him, but the pony guarded pulled him away from the donkey bard who yelped in fear, and said "Down! You don't realize who I am! I shall sing of your dastardly deed! I'm Cranky Doodle Donkey! Minstrel of minstrels! Balladeer to the grandest courts all the land!" One of the strings on the harp around his neck snapped as he looked at it, and said "Well, so you have forgotten! I've sung in some of the finest courts!" Another string on the harp broke as he said "Well, I'm only waiting for an invitation!" The fat string on the harp broke as he said "Oh, shush! Why do you judge every word I say! Oh, what's that?!" He looked ahead to see a skeleton of a former minstrel hanging on the wall. He began to get scared as he said "HELP!" Rainbow Blitz and Rainbow Dash went inside the cell as Rainbow Dash said "Oh, hello! We'll have you untied in a moment. I'm Princess Rainbow Dash. And you are in a bad trouble." As Rainbow Blitz started untying Cranky Doodle Donkey, he said "Trouble? Don't you know where you are? Haven't you seen him?!"

Suddenly, they heard a voice of a pony henchman that discovered that Rainbow Blitz went missing as he said "Pig-colt's escaped! Look in there!" "We've been discovered!" Rainbow Blitz said. "You?" Cranky Doodle asked. "Oh! Sweet Celestia! Run! Run Run! Make haste!" As Rainbow Blitz and Rainbow Dash ran for their lives, Cranky Doodle Donkey muttered "Make haste? I must save myself!" He then struggled to get himself free from the chains that were holding him earlier.
