Chapter 10

"What do we do now?" Y/N asked shakily. All of the members think of what to do next when Lucy grabs Natsu hand with a tear. Soon each member grabs somebodies hand now in a great circle. Y/N looks up seeing Mira's hand out for her to hold. Before Y/N could a large branch flies forward from Achnologia hitting Y/N back. Her body rolls a few feet away from the members. 

"Y/N!" Y/N sits up again only to see a giant rock flying towards her. 

"Move outta the way Shortie!" Gajeel shouts lunging over her. Y/N's head hit the ground then everything went black. 

 "Mmhmm," 

"She's waking up!" 

"Thank goodness!!" Y/N's eyes slowly flutter open followed by a groan. As she sits up a sharp pain shoots through her body from her stomach to her head. 

"What the hell happened?" She looks around seeing all of the members staring at her but something is off. "We're back in the guild?" Mira nods. Her eyes land on Macao and she has to look again to make sure it's really him. "Macao why do you look so much, older?" 

"You guys were stuck on the island for seven years," Her eyes widen in shock. 

"What!?"

"Y/N what is the last thing you remember?" Erza questions. Y/N thinks for a moment.

"I remember us fighting Achnologia, and then it's a fade but I remember someone hovering over me when Achnolochia swung a giant rock towards me." She thought harder when her eyes widen. "Gajeel! Where's Gajeel!?" Lunging forward Mira and Erza slowly laid her back down. 

"He's fine Y/N, don't worry." They chuckle. 

"Where is he?" 

"He's on a job right now, we're just glad you're awake." Cana walked up with a drink. 

"You've been out for a month," 

"What else happened?" She asks. The members all explain everything as well as hugging her one by one. Y/N finally got into new clothes and started walking back home. As she tried to open her door she cursed not knowing where her key was. 

"Y/N?" Her body freezes recognizing that voice. She turns around slowly. 

"Gajeel," A smile appears on her face. "I've been wondering where you were, everyone told me you were on a-" He jumps up wrapping his arms around her small figure. "job." She finishes and slowly hugs back. "Gajeel I'm fine thanks to you what are you all worked up about," 

"You weren't waking up that old lady said it could've been the disease that had really got to you." Y/N's eyes widened. Her eyes lower seeing a sack of jewels that looked almost like it weighed half her size. "Jeez, you don't even wait for me to go on the next job she chuckles." Lily walks up with a smile. 

"He's been going on a lot ever since he heard about your house," 

"What about it?" 

"You weren't here for seven years to pay rent so Gajeel has been doing it for you." Y/N looks up at Gajeel in shock and he says nothing till Y/N's landlord walked up. 

"Y/N! Nice to see you're actually back, have more rent money?" He smiles. 

"Uh, I-" 

"Right here," Gajeel answers as he tosses the bag on the ground next t the landlord. 

"Alright now with this much that makes all that's left only 20,000 jewels which I will give you until next week to pay." 

"Alright, you got it," Y/N's jaw was dropped. 

"Glad to see you're all better Y/N," Lily smiled. Y/N nodded slightly still looking up at Gajeel. 

"What are you looking at me like that for?" Gajeel snapped. 

"Why would you do that for me?" Y/N asked. He 'tsked' crossing his arms. 

"Who else was gonna do it, it's not like I want you to homeless or something." Y/N smiles with a chuckle. "I'm going home I'm tired," 

"Wait!" Y/N grabbed his hand to stop him. But she quickly drops it with a blush. "I um, thank you for everything. Saving me, paying my rent," 

"Yeah, yeah, c'mon Shortie I'm getting a drink you want one?" Y/N nodded with a smile walking closer to him. Lily walked behind them slightly smiling as they walked side by side.
