Selena POV
If I tell you the underworld was nice and friendly, you probably wouldn't believe me. Really though there was nice groovy music from the sixties playing in the background. I sat in a nice comfy chair in a really big hotel lobby type of place with all the other dead demigods. There wasn't any mortals, and nothing hurt.
A fizz martialized in the air as another one appeared. I looked beside me to see who it was.
There was a short kid with black hair, "Hey Selena, I see you haven't made it to your judging yet."
"Hello Michael, how did you get here." I ask him, worried, I hope the battle in New York is going Ok.
"I got blown up." He tells me casually.
I guess getting blown up isn't that big of a deal in the underworld.
"I bet, your making it to Elysium."
A voice on the intercom announces my name. "Selena Beauregard, please report the front desk."
I get up from my chair and give Michael a smile, and headed up to the from desk.
Jason (The original) was at the front monitoring the demigods. He looks up from his clipboard, "Beauregard... Beauregard... Ah! There you are... oh... umm... I'm sorry to tell you this but out calculations show that you have a really high chance of getting in the fields of punishment. The gods don't take betrayal very easily. "
I sigh, well I know where I'm going now.
"Hey don't fret, maybe your last act can change their mind. Third door by the way." He gives me a cheerful smile.
I enter in the room and there stood the three judges, Aeacus, Minos, and Rhadamanthys.
Aeacus looked up from his papers. "Selena, congrats you have been granted into automatic Elysium because of your greatness in modern music."
I look at them confused, "Wait, what?"
"Your Selena Gomez right?"
"Well, no..."
Rhadamanthys nudged Aeacus in the shoulders, "That's not Gomez that's Beauregard, Gomez isn't spose to die this soon."
"Oh, well Selena Beauregard, that's a different story for you."
Minos chimed in, "You betrayed the gods and joined Kronos as a spy, which will automatically put you in the fields of punishment."
I knew this was coming from the very beginning but listening they say it out loud hurts me. "Please just let me go the Elysium I don't care how long I just need to see Charlie again." Tears started forming in my eyes.
The three judges huddled together and started muttering.
They turn around to face me, "We have looked over your life again, and we decided that because you joined Kronos was because of Luke, that was partly your mothers fault because she spelled you to fall in love. She was bragging about it for ages say that she had the perfect match this time, well... until Percy and Annabeth came."
"We have decided that your last act for the gods is not enough to land you into Elysium, but we can pardon you punishment from enterally to a mere a thousand years."
I smile, joyfully, I can do it a thousand years, is nothing compared to enterally.
---
I gasp as my next demigod dies, sobbing into my knees, wishing there was a way I could have saved her. For the last thousand years, I have been assigned to watch over one demigod, one that will always fail. One that I will be bestowed their life and different choices that could have changed their course but I could never help. Never interfere, just watch.
The dark smoke started the gather beneath my feet, I knew it was time f
