I looked at the last time I updated and it has been like five months wow. I really need to get a schedule. 

Just switch the position of Percy and Annabeth. BTW this one shot was inspired by the photo above.

Annabeth POV

I stood at the edge of the beach the water ripples across my feet, making my toes tingle. I could feel the energy of the ocean, the warmth Percy brought me.

Its been two years since Percy died, two years since I stood by his body, the camp was getting back to normal.

Its been two long years and I still have not moved on. I promised Percy that I would, I promised him that I would be happy. I broke his last wish.

The wind blows through me blonde hair streaks of grey form from the stress and worry from over the years. I'm only nineteen but, wrinkles already show across my face.

"If Percy saw me what would he say now," I mutter out loud.

"If Percy saw you he would tell you that you are still as beautiful and loving as you always been." A voice echoes through the ocean waves spreading along camp.

I turn around and still see the camp the party still going, nothing was disturbed. Except for me.

"Wisegirl turn around your facing the wrong way." The voice echoed again. My eyes widen could it be?!

"Percy" I whispered under my breath.

I turned around, he stood along the shore of the beach just where I was standing. Holding a board and his arms. It was streaked with sea green and gray entwisting in a heart in the center.

I gasp.

I open my mouth trying to say something nothing came out. My heart pounded, I was hallucinating, wasn't I?!

"Annabeth, I missed you."

I took a deep breath, "I did too"

He walked up to the sandy beach, he stood tall and strong. He smiled at me.

He pulled me closer to his chest he heart was quiet. I couldn't catch the familiar thump of life but I could feel the warmth.

"Percy you still dead aren't you?" I asked him, knowing that it was just a waste. I already knew the answer in my mind. My heart just wouldn't accept it.

"Annabeth, you already know the answer. You already know but you won't accept it."

I pull him in closer he was centimeters away from my face. "I know, I still love you."

"I do too." He gave me a comforting smile. "Annabeth, you did a great job. You know that right? You saved the world."

I sigh, a single tear slid down my face. Promise number two. Broken. I promised I wouldn't cry for him.

I wiped it away before he could see it.

"I know I saved the world, but in the rush, I didn't save you."

He sat down and I sat down on his lap.

"Annabeth," He started "I don't need saving, you do."

I frown, "But,"

He stopped me, "Don't but me, look at yourself. I wanted you to be happy again, I know you can find joy again."

We just sat there as the sun set over the ocean wave.

We didn't talk, we didn't need to. Our love was in the air again.

I looked up at him, "Percy, it's a dream, isn't it? It's all in my head."

"Annabeth you know what it is."

"Percy if its all a dream, it can't be really you!"

He pulled me closer and kissed me. I could feel a faint pump of his heart. Or is it my heart, that moment I knew our hearts were one. He can't leave me.

He pulled away, "If its all a dream, it doesn't mean that it can't be real."

I could feel him fading in my arm his voice fading into the air.

I closed my eyes, hoping this wasn't a dream.

I open them again looking up. The beach was calm and the waves still ripped.

And I smiled for the first time in two years, a true smile because I could feel Percy was still with me.

Yip Yip Hoary I updated today! How many of you remember the cliffhanger one-shot I had to write for my English homework? Well! I have finally stopped being a lazy potato and decided to finish it!

QOTD: How long do you think my longest period of not updating a book is?
