Chapter 9

Waking up an hour before your alarm sucks. Normally I would wake up a 7 and that would give me an hour to get ready and eat but today for some weird reason I woke up at 6. Which is not fun in the least. For the extra hour I was up I stayed in bed trying to go back to sleep, but after a while I got up and went to take a shower then a long bath.

By the time I was out it was 7. After that I got dressed in a pair of jeans and an old plain green v- neck shirt. About twenty minutes later Mimi was ready and we went down for breakfast.

By now everyone has formed their groups and there's no turning back from that group now. Along with that comes the fact that everyone now has their own table. So we were able to eat at the same table without anyone taking it before we got there.

For breakfast I got a bagel with vegetable cream cheese, strawberry yogurt and a glass of apple juice. When I sat down Simon and Holly already sitting down both with their food.

"Is Nick going to be sitting with us today?" I asked Simon since I saw him talking to some girls. As I asked that I saw him coming towards us but the girls were still with him, coming with him as he walked towards us.

"Why are you going to sit with them? She's a rouge and they are not to be trusted. I personally think they shouldn't even be allowed in this school." the girl who said that was the same one that asked Mr.Brungs if rouge were safe to be around

"Megan she's my friend and she has as much right here as you."

After he said that she came up to me "you're not fooling me I know your dangerous and you aren't to be trusted. I don't know how you're doing it but I will get him released from your spell." She said then she stormed off to her friends which could be best be described as sluts and bitches.

"Ok that was weird." I said after she stormed off.

Once every one sat down I asked "Are we still going to try and figure out who the vogue is?"

"Yes we are and here is the plan. Since we got at least one person from each element your jobs are going to be is to find possible candidates from each. They will probably be very strong they might try to hide how strong they are at first but probably won't be able to do that for long if they really are strong enough to erase someone's memories. Does every one agree to that?" said Nick.

Everyone agreed to that then we talked about normal things. Or at least as normal as it can get here.

"So what's up with that one chick?" I ask still thinking about her wired behavior.

"Oh, Megan, she has just doesn't like rogues. Also her friends don't either so I would try to stay away from them if I were you." Nick said.

After that we quickly ate breakfast then went to our first bell. Simon and I quietly sat together waiting for the teachers. When they finally came it was only Mrs. Brock.

"Everyone found their soul animal yesterday so we are moving on to one of my units. Before anyone asks the reason Mr. Elder isn't here is since we are doing a formal unit he isn't needed so he doesn't come on those days like i won't come for shifting units." Mrs. Brock said. "This unit will focus on mates. First I want to know what you know about the subject. If you think you know something raise your hand and I'll call on you and I'll tell you if it's true."

Only one person raised their hand and not really surprising it was Simon. "Mates are your soul mate and you only have one." he said. I have a feeling he was going to say more but didn't say anything else so he doesn't look like a nerd. But that was probably why most of the class (including me) didn't raise their hand.

"You're partially correct. While your mate is your soul mate there have been some cases where a really powerful elemental or vogue has had more than one mate. While some of those cases were when one person was mated to both of twins in a set of twins. There have been others where the person mated to multiple people had to pick one of them. Does anyone else want to say anything?"

Since no one raised their hand she then continued, "Your first able to find them after you find your soul animal. But the hard part is that the only way you're able to recognize your mate is by touch and even harder for vogues since they have to touch when shifted in their soul animal form. Any questions?"

"What about rejection?" said a timid girl in the back.

"Sadly that is an increasing problem outside of the school since most people in this school is educated in that problem it doesn't happen."

"What exactly happens?" said a dude up front that might consider rejecting his mate.

"Glad you ask. Well most of time the rejection goes unnoticed by the moon goddess so the person still has the mate bond with each other. If the person rejected doesn't commit suicide then they eventually get back together after a lot of pain for both parties. Only about 1% of people rejected actually get fully rejected. And the people that do get fully rejected about 50% of them commit suicide and then the other one goes crazy. And you can only mate with your soul mate."

She then went on saying other things like the process to become fully mated how most likely your mate will be the same species and level as you, also about mating with other species and how the offspring will only get species trait from one parent and so on. The class went by quickly and so did the rest of the day with the only mentionable things that happened was that in drama we are doing a play and everyone has to try out.
