Lucas's and Ness's first kiss ended in a surprising number of mortalities. It was dangerous and explosive, neither of them knew what happened until afterwards. They were the eye of the storm. When they came into contact, all of the unused PSI that had been building up released all at once, resulting in a large and very lethal explosion. The amount of death was... Incredibly uncalled and incredibly unasked for.
Lucas started crying out of fear, shock and guilt. Ness, although disturbed, tried to comfort him. Lucas didn't want it to happen again, so he ran away from Ness. He thinks if they touch again it will happen. He loves Ness, but he can't touch him. Ness is left at the scene, crying and curled into a ball.
Needless to say, the situation is sad.
