Merida's P.O.V

"Faster angus!" I squealed in delight. I felt the air rush past my face and I loved it. Just then I heard a scream of pure terror and Angus bucked sending me flying. Thankfully (for me) I landed on something soft.

"Well what did ye do that for Angus?" I questioned, "ye could have killed me!" I knew I was being over dramatic now, but Angus- my trusty steed- never bucked like this. The only time he's ever done that was the time the will 'O the wisps came to show me how to change my fate. But that's another story. Magic always made him nervous.
I was pulled out of my thoughts when something started making all sorts of weird noises and the soft thing I was sitting on started to squirm and I couldn't figure out where the weird noises were coming from. I stood up and I was actually sitting on a lassie about my age.

"Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't realise ye were there!" I apologised. She looked at me wiped down her dress and smiled

"That's alright. I'm belle." It was obvious she wasn't from around here, and as far as she looked she was probably lost. I doubted a foreigner would be able to find their way home in these woods. Only people who were here all the time knew their way about- and even they still got lost at the best of times.

"Anyway, I'm going to go and hopefully find my way home." Belle ventured.

"So I'm guessing you're lost, and by the way I'm Merida." She smiled and nodded her head,"I know these woods very well so I can show ye home if you want?"

"Really! That would be wonderful!" She exclaimed. Yep, she was definitely a tourist. Apparently she was here on her honeymoon with her husband. Even although they got married a few years back, they still decided to come here because it was like a anniversary trip, or at least that's what she told me. Just as we were setting off what appears but a whisp and just like me all those years ago, Belle wants to follow it so I guessed I might as well follow her too. You see I've always been amazed by whisps, the strange wee creatures. They tend to want to lead you somewhere and sometimes it can lead to trouble, I knew that from experience. The whisps lead us to a wee shack near a hill. It looked really run down as if no one had lived in it for years. The paint was peeling off of the walls and the windows were grotty and covered in green gunk to the point you could no longer see in them. The door was half off it's hinges and was holding onto the door frame by a thread.

"I think we should get you home belle."

"Give me five minutes. I'll be back in a second." She replied.

She wasn't.

All I heard was a scream. I ran in the shack and loaded my bow and arrow. I just had to hope it wasn't a bear. My prayers were answered, it was a dragon coming out of a cauldron and then a sea monster that looked a bit like an octopus and lots of other ghastly looking creatures. But just as they all disappeared it showed other princesses being captured and then there was me and Belle being held prisoner and after that I screamed. We both raced out of there and jumped onto Angus until we found where Belle was staying.

"We need to warn the others!" Belle was practically howling when she said that. Mind you, I wasn't to far away either.

"Aye indeed we do."
