"Can we please look outside?" Begged Brittleskit. He was on his paws and inching towards the door
"Yes! Can we please?" Blossomkit stood beside Brittleskit her eyes gleaming. Petalpaw shook her head. After all, she was just an apprentice and her mentor; Windtail had given her the job of looking over these kits.
"You aren't allowed to." Protested Petalpaw. She narrowed her eyes and flicked her tail.
Shadowfeather walked up behind the apprentice and mewed. "Take them out if you must. Just make sure they return back here safely before noon." Shadowfeather's pelt gleamed in the sunlight as she flicked her tail towards the door. "Be careful." She mewed before walking towards Fireflaw who sat in the middle of the nursery. "Come on." Shadowfeather instructed.
Fireflaw got to his paws and yawned. "Alright."
Petalpaw lead the kits towards Dawnstar's den. "Dawnstar." Petalpaw huffed and then greeted her with a faithful bow of the head.
"Why, hello. Taking the kits out on a tour, I see." Dawnstar's eyes narrowed and she tilted her muzzle towards the ceiling. The four kits stood paw by paw and stared innocently at their leader.
"It's such a pleasure to finally meet you." Rosekit mewed, placing her tail between her legs.
"I'm glad to finally meet you too." Dawnstar soothed. Luckykit walked up to their clan leader and murmured. "I'm going to be an amazing warrior!"
Dawnstar flicked her tail towards him and smiled. "Yes you are. You'll become an apprentice soon too." She added looking at the four kits.
"Well we better be on our way. There is lots to show the kits." Petalpaw bowed before stepping out of her leader's den. The four kits followed behind and Petalpaw turned to face them once more. "Are you ready to hunt?" She asked narrowing her eyes at the kits. Their muzzles opened wide and their eyes gleamed.
"Oh yes. Pretty please." Brittleskit muttered, thumping his tail quietly against the ground.
