Foxtail dropped to his knees. He sat there and stared at his prey nearly inches away. His muzzle lurched foward and he snapped it in his jaws. Petalpaw stood before him. Amazed.

"Wow. That was-" Petalpaw began when Foxtail cut her off.

"If Windtail doesn't return you'll need to learn these skills." He pointed his paw towards a small crow walking silently on the ground. "Get it." Foxtail instructed. Petalpaw nodded and dashed forward.

"Got it!" Petalpaw exclaimed before having it in her paws. The prey flew away, quietly.

"If you were more quiet and actually got the prey first before announcing it. You might have it." Foxtail suggested, flicking his tail.

"I'll work on it." Petalpaw smiled walking back towards camp with Foxtail following after her.

"You better." He retorted making his way towards Dawnstar's den.  "Dawnstar." He asked flicking his tail forward.

"Yes?" Her voice croaked as she struggled to keep onto her paws. She walked up to her deputy and croaked again. "Yes?"

"You look terrible. " Foxtail admitted towards his leader. She struggled to move forward and her tail was flat on the ground.

"I think I might have a case of the green cough." Dawnstar murmured, coughing up blood and spitting it on the forest ground.

"That's terrible." He shuddered.  She dropped to the ground. Petalpaw met the deputy at his side.

She opened her muzzle to speak and her stomach lurched. "I wish Windtail was here."
